1/48+fp's, 1/60, And 1/72 Picture Gallery Pt 4

Finally got my VF-1J GPB-01 combo yesterday arrived on time gotta love EMS the fighter was really tight like it needed to be oiled in some parts especially the the nose when I needed to place the decals on the red stripe however was crooked which meant I had to trim the rescue decal at the edge of the line to place it exactlly where it should go. Wonder if anyone had that problem with theirs. But I hit a snag with the biggest mistake I ever made when purchasing an exspensive toy. I placed the UMM-7 missile pod on the wing and it got stuck, honestly I though the nibs were made of rubber that would allow the pods to slip off but as soon I finished snapping shots and was ready to put the armor on, the damn thing would not budge. I tried the usual methods to take it off like with the other 1/60's, but still would not budge it was on tight. So with one final tug the nib broke off the wing still attached to the pod, had to use an X-acto knife to get it off. So no I gotta contact HLJ again to get a relpace as I just fould out tonight they just sent me the replacement shoulder for my VT-1.

I had that underwing nub snap off on my very first 1/60 VF-1J Hikaru purchase. I used some Scorpion Industries RP 1500 Adhesive and that sucker has stayed on for good since then. I even tried attached the same missile pod and yanked it off again, that glue holds tight.

Thanks guys for the kind comments.

I was inspired by Kirik with his 2 in one detolfs (though I lack the carpentry skills to saw off the extra connecting edges), and extra shelves are inspired by some other folks from around the internet, though I should be the the 1st to use binding clips.

Finaly got the part to repair the broken shoulder yesterday, it was a bit hard but I figure out how to get the arm apart would have gotten some advise here if my sister wasn't taking to long working next to my computer, I should buy a laptop the next time she does that. Figured out on ow to separate the shoulder from the ball joint by spreading the shoulder cover apart to get it off the arm so I can unscrew the screws in the upper arm

Sexy ass side covers!!! Is that VF-1D color a one off or something or those the original white covers you made and the lighting is making them look like a match to the Valk?

Hey Thanks!

Yep, that's my VF-1D color side covers. The color is a little off, but I can live with it. :D

Looks amazing MacrossMan! The ultimate VF-1D, those side covers really make all the difference!! B))

Thanks! Wish I could afford another one to display in fighter mode. Seeing this in its weathered glory in 1/48 scale pisses on the 1/60th version. I love the new smaller scale, but nothing can ever take the place of me beloved 1/48's!!!
