MacrossJunkie Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Unfortunately yes, I can't do anything with the dust in my room as it is in the air (I blame the furnace for blowing dust in the air ) and when I can I do dust off my humble collection that's growing with the 11 coming. I'll probaly need one of those 200+ ion air purifiers that removes dust from the air or a humidifier but I don't know how it will affect everything in my collection and to answer sircastico question I hope not I didn't have in the sun that long I needed the light to take those neat shots. But after some grueling effort to transform it into batttroid mode I was able to take some more shots, shot that I will post up laters as soon as I upload them into my photobucket page. But if I forget just click on to view my collection link below my message because it's most likely I'll be too tierd once I get back from work by the time they upload. You probably just need to change the filter in your furnace more often. Also, in my experience from having one, the ionic air purifiers do dick in getting rid of dust and allergens in the air. Sure they catch enough dust to cover the surface of the attractors, but they don't move enough air to put a dent in the amount of dust floating around. From consumer reports and such, they pretty much confirm that as well. They also fill the room with ozone. If you want better results, you're probably better off getting one of those HEPA air purifiers that require filters.
eugimon Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Just to chime in on what MacrossJunkie wrote... My wife has worked in and built clean rooms... they use HEPA filters. Those ionic air purifiers suck. Oh, and ozone is bad for plastic.

Point and shoot camera, set it with no flash and the timer, then just put it on the coffee table and illuminated the picture with the monitor from my computer. I think it came out pretty cool...
