Ignacio Ocamica Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Impressions about the Metal Composite Psycho Gundam Mk II?? I'm about to get it. I'm not that much into Gundam but I love the design. I've got a couple of PG's and some MG's. From all the reviews and pics I've seen it seems it's a great toy. Quote

Ignacio Ocamica Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Received the Psycho Gungam MkII from Hong Kong at last!!!! This Metal Composite Fix Figuration toy is THE AWESOME. Pure mecha porn, it's bigger and taller than a Yamato 1/48 VF-1. Almost as tall as the PG Strike. First impressions: hefty toy, diecast where it's needed, the paint application and tampo markings are beyond this planet, stiff joints. I'll post pics and a better review tonight!!!!! Quote

I'll post the "brick mode" later with the review It's really a great toy, the wow factor when I took it out of the styrofoam was exactly as when I open my Yamato's. It's one of the very few gundam designs that I like Quote

I dont care for the wacky rocket/flight/building mode. DOES IT POSE???? What accessories does it come with ?? Thanks One more thing Can you post a pic next to a PG Gundam? Black Valkyrie Posted December 12, 2009 Author Posted December 12, 2009 How many metal parts does it contain. Quote
bluemax151 Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I got the RD Unicorn. It's alright but without panel lining it's pretty boring. Quote
Arthurius Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Can someone educate me on these metal composite gundams that are large in size, i never hurd of them, i only know models. It is a toy, or a painted model? Are they all as big as a 1/48 vf-1, as i hurd there was metal composite Fix gundams, and also fix gundams look nice, they are way too fragile and too small. Although i dont like the design of this particular Psycho Gundam, maybe there are others i will like, and will folow the line. Thanks Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 How many metal parts does it contain. Shoulders, hips, crotch/a$$ area, knees and ankle articulation are all metal. There's also plenty metal inside the legs (internal leg frame) and some inside the torso. All the outside armor is plastic with a nice matte finish and the paint job is as perfect as can be, not a single flaw!! Quote

Ignacio Ocamica Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 (edited) One more thing Can you post a pic next to a PG Gundam? Here's a pic with the PG Strike, at 1/144 the Psycho Gundam is huge I still owe you the review!!! The Psycho MkII comes with a stand, deflector shields/bits both in open and closed mode, two sets of cables for the forearms (you can detach them and use them as guided weapons) and a pair of closed fists. transfan52 Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 As an owner of that mk II figure I must agree that the qualitiy is top notch for a bandai product. The thing is massive even in its 1/144 scale and is awe inspiring when you first take it out of the box. The level of detail is amazing as well and it is very sturdy. If your a big gundam fan you owe it to yourself to pick this thing up if you can. It is a very impressive piece to anyone's collection and is a good conversation starter. Quote

nugundamII Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 out of the three gffmc molds this is the least posable. the z plus is the best and i would rate it mg along with the rx-78 g but this feels more like a hg. it barely transformers and isnt really solid. i was so scared to scratch the beautiful paint job Quote
nugundamII Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009   yellowing on the stand straight out of the box ....hmmm will that happen with the unicorn nice metal content stand sucks Quote
