At $19.99, their sins were less egregious.

I bought a couple of the Toynami 1/100 VF-1 toys when they were first released years ago and remember being disappointed at their quality then for this price. Cannot imagine paying $60-$80 now for them (even with the nicer boxes).

at $19.99 it was a good price back then .. until the Cup crack on their own and the valk falls to their death from their display stand to the floor.

yes, I brought couple of them back then....

Thanks @Slave IV - I was unaware of that. Shogun Warrior toys were ahead of my childhood. :)

No problem! You missed out on some goodness there. Those were some of my earliest toys that brought me into the world of anime.

Been waiting for this. A customizer and 3D print genius at Tom Hughes Customs could be behind this.

I seriously can’t wait to get this in hand.

So sweet!

Damn, that picture really puts in perspective how huge the Sv-51s are. Especially compared to an SDF-1😆

Just curious...have there been KOs of Toynami 1:100 releases? I mean the quality is already on par with KOs... 😄

These were KOd to death.

First release was called “Wave 2”.

Hardy har-har. 😄

But seriously...they seem so easy to KO. If they were a few bucks a piece, I'd actually grab a bunch and laud them for being worth it.

The KO company looked but they couldn't find a cheaper plastic.

The KO company had a second look after they couldn’t find the cheapest plastic to use with and yet still decided on ignoring the idea stating ‘How can we really KO an already KO? Our finished KO goods looks way better than theirs.’ :spiteful:

Ouch. :vava:

Seriously though, I honestly don’t see anyone wanting to KO these things. Too many parts.

Shame. They would sell.

But I do get the ease of KO'ing the 1/55 design. Less parts, to be sure.

Does some one still have pictures of the monstrosity of battroid that Toynami showed many years ago? Around the time of the MPC VF-1s. I have been looking for those pictures on google but so far none.

Yep. Those ones. I still remember when toynami was a thing. Then boom! Yamato came with the V.1. and basically killed the competition.

Seen picks like this really throw me back in time.

That looks like a super scaled 1/100 VF-1S. I have never seen it before.
