renegadeleader1 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) 90's pornstar Tiffany Million got her start on G.L.O.W as Tiffany Mellons. Former WWF Diva Ivory(as Nina Ferrari) did too. Tiffany got kicked off the show for apparently engaging in lesbian relations with several other GLOW girls. Ivory jumped ship with Dave Mclane to his reboot P.O.W.W and from there the WWF. Mclane rebooted the women's wrestling gimic a few years ago again with W.O.W. Beth Phoenix got her start there as Sandy a member of the Beach Patrol. If I remember correctly the women who were Hollywood, and The Farmer's Daughter co-own the rights to GLOW now, and still do semi-regular promotions, along with releasing select matches on dvd. After watching that promo... yep I would still tap Ninotchika! Edited March 21, 2013 by renegadeleader1 Quote
areaseven Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) Former WWF Diva Ivory(as Nina Ferrari) did too. Actually, Lisa Moretti was known in G.L.O.W. as Tina Ferrari. She changed her stage name to Nina Ferrari when she moved to P.O.W.W. And even though she had some successful runs as the Women's Champion in the WWF, they never really let her use her full potential. I got to meet Lisa in person at RVD's 5-Star Comics back in 2004, and she is undoubtedly one of the friendliest wrestlers in the business. Here's a slideshow of a recent G.L.O.W. reunion by Angelina Altishin (formerly Little Egypt). And here's the official website if you want a DVD copy of Susie Spirit dislocating her elbow. Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling As sexualized as it was many of the girls didn't screw around and took it seriously, and suffered for it. Little Egypt the one who made that slideshow blew out her knee during a match. At least I think it was her. Quote

Little Egypt the one who made that slideshow blew out her knee during a match. At least I think it was her. According to this video report, Little Egypt tore an ACL during a match. Too bad I don't quite remember her, as I only got up to the end of season 1 when Tina Ferrari became the G.L.O.W. Champion. And I'm surprised that Billy Corgan is running an independent wrestling promotion. Quote
areaseven Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Here's the updated WrestleMania 29 card, along with my predictions: WWE Championship: The Rock © vs. John Cena Seriously, does anyone want to see that spinner belt again? World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio © vs. Jack Swagger Last month, Swagger was arrested for marijuana possession and DUI. WWE has not yet reprimanded him, which probably means he won't win the title. Sheamus, Randy Orton and Mystery Partner vs. The Shield (Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins/Roman Reigns) I've always hated Orton since his debut over a decade ago, so I'm not interested in this match. The Undertaker vs. CM Punk 21-0. HBK, HHH, Edge, Flair - they all tried, but failed. So why should CM Punk score UT's first WM upset? Ryback vs. Mark Henry Does anyone really care about Ryback? And how is it that Mark Henry has been able to hold on to his job in the WWE for over a decade while many of the top superstars leave the company after just less than five years? WWE Tag Team Championship: Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston Kane and Bryan have held the belts for too long, so expect an upset victory by Ziggler and Big E. And to think that Ziggler was a member of the Spirit Squad... No Holds Barred: Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar A new stipulation was added wherein HHH must retire if he loses. As much as I hate HHH's backstage politics, he's not gonna lose this match. Besides, Lesnar just attacked the New Age Outlaws, which most likely means that DX will gang up on him. Quote
areaseven Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 (edited) And now for another flashback. This is from the now-defunct Japanese hardcore wrestling promotion FMW, featuring Shawn Michaels as the guest referee. Edited March 29, 2013 by areaseven Quote

areaseven Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 WrestleMania 29 results: Pre-Show Opener: WWE Intercontinental Championship The Miz made Wade Barrett tap out to the figure-four leglock to become the new I-C Champion. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) def. Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show after Reigns speared Orton. Mark Henry def. Ryback after reversing the Shellshocked into a splash. Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) def. Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston after Bryan landed a flying headbutt on Ziggler. Faaannn... daaaaannnnn... gooooooooooo... did a roll-up pin on Chris Jericho, who sold a knee injury. World Heavyweight Championship Alberto Del Rio made Jack Swagger tap out to the cross armbreaker. Undefeated Streak vs. Straight Edge Undertaker made CM Punk rest in peace. 21-0. No Holds Barred Triple H destroyed Brock Lesnar via sledgehammer and Pedigree on the ring steps. After the match, Shawn Michaels ran in to celebrate with HHH. WWE Championship John Cena landed the AA on The Rock to regain the WWE Championship. Quote
areaseven Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) Earlier tonight on The John Cena Show: - Basically, anyone that didn't have a match at WrestleMania 29 showed up tonight to make up for lost time. - Undertaker paid tribute to Paul Bearer, but was interrupted by The Shield. Team Hell No ran in to even the odds. - Y2J got his revenge on Faaan... daaaannn... goooooooooo... by trapping him in the Walls of Jericho before the rookie's match against Kofi Kingston. - Here's a shocker: Ryback turned heel and Shell Shocked Cena. - Just one day after winning it at the WrestleMania pre-show, The Miz, lost the Intercontinental title to Wade Barrett. What a waste. - Dolph Ziggler cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and defeated Alberto Del Rio to become the new World Champion. Why couldn't he do that at WrestleMania? At least we won't see that stupid spinner belt anymore. The WWE Title Gets a John Cena Transformation Edited April 10, 2013 by areaseven Quote
areaseven Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Earlier tonight on The John Cena Show: - The drama continues between Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show as the crowd continues to show no interest. - Brock Lesnar issued yet another rematch with Triple H; this time, in a steel cage at Extreme Rules. Yawn. - Finally, some movement within the other title belts: Kofi Kingston def. Antonio Cesaro for the U.S. Championship. - Faaan... daaaannn... goooooooooo... continues to enjoy his sudden surge in popularity, as his entrance theme reached the top 20 in the UK iTunes charts while it's rapidly becoming an Internet meme in the U.S. - One week after Dolph Ziggler cashed in his Money in the Bank to become the new World Champion, Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger continue to feud, but with Ziggler just stuck in the middle. - In a stunning turn of events since losing to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29, CM Punk walked out of the ring during a speech. - Another beatdown on Cena, by The Shield. Still won't get him over with the fans at all. Quote

areaseven Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Earlier tonight on The John Cena Show in London: - HHH accepted Lesnar's challenge at Extreme Rules by giving Heyman a Pedigree. Yawn. - Must really suck to be Antonio Cesaro, as he's been relegated to jobber status after losing the U.S. Championship last week. Shame that WWE doesn't know how to market him. - Even worse on that position is Y2J, who lost to Dolph Ziggler after Faaan... daaaannn... goooooooooo...'s music played during their match. - Looks like we should keep an eye out on Big E Langston. Just like Lesnar 10 years ago, this powerhouse has a lot of star potential. - The Shield remain undefeated, having conquered The Undertaker and Team Hell No. - Faaan... daaaannn... goooooooooo... humiliated William Regal, but Y2J got the last laugh backstage. - What exactly is the motivation behind the Cena/Ryback feud? areaseven Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Extreme Rules airs tonight on pay-per-view. Here's the card, along with my predictions: WWE Championship - Last Man Standing: John Cena © vs. Ryback As Cena is wrestling with a torn Achilles' tendon, expect him to drop the title to Ryback to give him time to heal. "I Quit" #1 Contender Match for World Championship: Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger At this point, I don't know if anyone really cares about who will face Dolph Ziggler, as Swagger's "We the People" gimmick is going nowhere, and Del Rio is not a convincing babyface. United States Championship: Kofi Kingston © vs. Dean Ambrose Extreme Rules will be The Shield's night, so expect Ambrose to take the title away from Kingston. WWE Tag Team Championship: Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) © vs. The Shield (Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins) See above. Steel Cage Match: Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar Do we really need to see this match again, as their WrestleMania encounter put the crowd in dead silence? Strap Match:Sheamus vs. Mark Henry Mark Henry needs to retire. There's really no point in keeping him in the roster. Big Show vs. Randy Orton Orton still sucks after all these years. Chris Jericho vs. Fandango Y2J needs a big break after jobbing continuously for a year. Pre-Show: The Miz vs. Cody Rhodes I thought WWE was building up The Miz back to main event status after inheriting the figure-four leglock from Ric Flair. Why is he doing free YouTube opening matches? Quote
areaseven Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 WWE Extreme Rules Results: Pre-ShowThe Miz made Cody Rhodes tap out to the figure-four leglock. Guest davidwhangchoi Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Hey Yo! sheamus has machismo. he should've kept it as his finisher and stayed a Heel. he's so boring now. i can't watch raw three hours straight. there's no meaningful matchup's, Cena buries everyone everytime he kick's out of a finisher. Ryback's going mid card after Cena's done with him. and it's on;y time before they feed the shield to superman. Edited May 30, 2013 by davidwhangchoi Quote
areaseven Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I think I picked the wrong time to watch wrestling again after a six-year hiatus. I swore to myself that it was over for me after the Benoit incident, but I decided to give the WWE another chance this year. And unfortunately, things have gotten worse because of this PG era. Worse is that the WWE won't do anything about Cena because he's raking in the sponsors. He can't turn heel because of his affiliation with the Make-a-Wish Foundation. And he won't drop the title right now because Ryback simply has no charisma. Oh yeah, does WWE even create new Superstars anymore? It seems that every WrestleMania over the past decade has been headlined by the same people: HHH, Undertaker, The Rock, HBK*, Edge*, Y2J, Cena. CM Punk is practically the only one in the new generation that's consistently headlined a WrestleMania, but that's it. The Miz has been relegated to pre-show matches this year. Sure, there's buildup over The Shield, but where will that go by the end of the year? At least the WWE is doing significantly better than TNA. *Yes, they're retired, but they were part of the same headline all these years. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 yeah, agree with you with WWE reusing the old stars. Vinnie wants instant money to please the share holders and will take putting the Rock,HHH, Undertaker in the main event over developing new talent. The only thing going decent is the Shield, and i hope they don't make them look weak in a few months. I like Cody Rhodes, but it seems like he's going no where. Sandow is good, and Titus is funny but anyone who's black, they won't make the top guy ever. Yeah, even if Cena can't turn heel, they can't have him kick out of every finisher, smirk all the time, and expect older people to watch. It's like why bother watching any pay per view you know he's not going to lose the belt or won't lose clean. Rock always lost clean and still was the man. As well as Austin, HHH. This guy can't lose clean ever! i saw the promo Cena did once Ryback turned heel and he just buried him. nothing to do with the storyline but just destroyed him about his lack of ability. i don't think ryback was good but at least he finally won over most of the goldberg chants and had some momentum. he had the feed me more chant going ok and Cena makes him look weak in 5 minutes. If they want to sell pay per views they need to build up both characters. that's why i think he's going the same direction as Miz went after wrestlemania 27. i hope Cm Punk comes back with a decent storyline. TNA... i think flipped to spike tv once by accident during the Aces of 8 storyline and felt bad for the company. Quote
areaseven Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 For a while, TNA had the potential to give WWE a run for its money. It had all the new stars and some of the best in-ring action with the X Division. Then it all went down south when they brought in Hogan and Bischoff. Because of those two, all the younger talent were forced to job to the veterans. It's become WCW all over again - but with a lower budget. And yes, the whole Aces & Eights gimmick needs to go. What's the point of having a biker gang whose members can't even ride bikes? Quote
