OT: the law's changed. The current Japanese decency law breaks down to these points:

1) pubic hair is ok to show without mosaic

2) poophole is ok to show without mosaic if nothing inserted in it.

3) kitty is ok to show without mosaic as long as the cherry and internals are not shown, and as long as nothing is inserted in it.

Of course, there's also some rules with regards to the size of the mosaic as well. But I won't bore you with them. Needless to say, some companies didn't follow the rules and used mosaics deemed inappropriate and had their videos banned, at least in brick and mortar shops. One can still get them online, or better yet, get the un-retouched virgin video for the price of a broadband connection from Taiwan or China, where the Japanese porn industry has outsourced their manufacturing to. :lol:

Back on topic, the mosaicing of the SDF is to comply with Yamato's "NO PHOTOS PLEASE" rules.

Please don't let this one be a Monster case. I definitely want at least 1. :D

In the face of the whole Beagle/Toynami ride armor disaster (as a lover of motorcycles, I was REALLY looking forward to those), the fact that this thing might still be coming is the best news I've had in months. Now, if they'd only announce a Spartan.........

Thanks. Now I know I definitely want at least 1. Let's all hope the final production toy has as much details and gimmicks as this beautiful prototype. ^_^

Definitely worth waiting more than 20 years to finally buy a SDF-1 at SRP price. :)

the fact that they the ride armor lines been discontinued before the bartley and blowsperior were released (I wanted a bowsperior so bad... :( )

With this much detail, I really wished it was bigger. I'm thinking of a 7 1/2ft long like the GI Joe USS Flagg '86. I'm willing to drop $500-$700 bucks for a top-notch detailed with gimmicks.

you want a bigger SDF-1?? I think this size is big enough, I wonder if it will come with some sort of stand for dynamic poses, and if yamato could repaint it to be the WTF-1 from frontier, haha

I'm kinda diggin the size myself, not TOOO big, but not tooo small. Hopefully they can keep it around 5 bills...???? Just needs to have LOTS of detail.

Probably a dumb question, but are there any plans for a SDFM(TV) version?

I think they will eventually will make some little tweeks here and there, paint it a on white, red and blue and will milk as the TV version just the way we've come to know Yamato does..

The TV Macross may not look as "badass" as the DYRL one, but for me, is like a dear place where I was very happy. I'd get a TV version for sure.

Same here. I'd be saving up already for a TV version, but I'm having a hard time getting excited for the DYRL one. Aside from lacking the nostalgia factor, the aesthetics just don't look as good to me as the TV version. I'm glad it's coming out though, and I hope someday a TV version comes for those of us who prefer it.
