I should have my VF-25G thursday when I get home. Vinnie was kind enough to ship it ASAP so I'll be looking at the clock at work all day. Thank GOD I get off early and I'll be doing shuttle drives, so my day will go by quick.

Here's a couple of quick pics snapped at night of my Frontier toys collection and display cabinet.

I recently had a major clear out of my display cabinet. All the 1/48 went into storage, as did most of the CM's figures. Also, the bottom two shelves are not visible in the pics.

Everything on these boards are too expensive for me.

Well, you can just get the free valkyries from here:

http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~sf-papercraft/...F-1S/VF-1S.html

http://www.ne.jp/asahi/home/tori/

http://urashiman.kilu.de/site/gb-paper.html

The last page will someday have a VF-25, VF-17, and VF-14, according to the author:

SDF-1, destroids, and others in development can be available from Zealot forums (membership required):

Apologies for being slightly OT.

Haha, thats awesome papercraft, but my original comment was just a joke. I do own several macross figures, and definitely plan to buy more. I'm a bigger fan of the model kits for Mac Frontier though.

Graham, I noticed in your collection that if you have at least 3 of any given VF, you have at least one of them in Gerwalk. Except for your Mac Frontier collection! INCONSISTENCY! I bet its because you don't like the DX gerwalk poses though, I'm sure, so it's excusable. However, what I do want to know is where can I get an Isamu Dyson figure? Ive seen that one several times here on the forums, but I still haven't found where I can order it online or anything. Was it exclusive and now no longer attainable?

Gerwalk mode is not stable enough with the DX VF-25 IMO, unless you use the display stand. Anyway, Gerwalk is my least favorite mode. Also my display cabinet is running out of space. Trying to persuade the wife to let me buy a bigger cabinet.

The Isamu figure is from CM's and IIRC is from their set # 1.

Nice collection there graham. I'd really like to find those cms macross figurines really cheap but they cost way more than what their worth IMO. I have to admit gerwalk mode doesn't look very impressive with the current dx line. On the model kit it looks nice because movement is a lot better and proportions are lineart accurate. These are best displayed as a battroid or fighter.

That is a tiny part of my collection.

I'd estimate, 80% is packed away in storage.

Graham

Same for me. Ever since I shipped all my collection to HK from the US, they've been in storage. No wonder the mini-storage business is growing so rapidly here in HK.

So Graham, you only display Macross stuff and nothing from other toy lines? The poor valkyries need some friends :lol:

Well my VF-25G just fell about 4 feet off the stand. Not even the slightest hint of damage. Very nice.

yeah, but alto is emo like that.

I dont think that guy ever posted any pics of the breakage, so I don't really know if its reliable.

Well, the G was wearing it's super-packs/armor, so that probably protected it like a good armor pack should ^_^

I can't wait for the VF-25S Full Armor to come out! I've had it on pre-order for awhile now. The RVF-25 and VF-25G were kind of spur of the moment things.

Heheh, true! Maybe the toy is like Airwolf - indestructable unless it gets hit in that one tiny spot, then it goes blammo.

What fond memories that show brings back. :rolleyes:

Lets just hope it doesn't come back like Knight Rider. Although the television industry is such a cesspool there's probably three different people pitching it right now.

Back on topic- Anyone care to share some pics of their Super Alto?

I don't find the transformation fiddly at all. In fact I find it very quick and intuitive. Not as simple as a VF-1, but certainly far easier and less fiddly than say the YF-21 or SV-51.

Mind you, I had previous experience transforming the VF-25 model kits, before I got the DX, so was already familiar with the basic transformation and found that I didn't need to take more than a cursory glance at the DX instruction sheet before transforming the toys.

Graham

I dunno about that... I still find the VF-1 to be slightly more finicky and difficult to deal with and I hate moving that thin metal swingbar around... I always feel like I'm gonna break it if I apply too much force. The dx really doesn't have many breaking points that are essential to transformation and flipping out the torso is so much easier IMO.

I personally would like to see some more pics of Lukas with and without super armor. It may help push me to the verge of buying one.

I'm confused with the following letters for the valks. Which one is the one you got? The VF-25"g"? And please please take LOTS of pics!

Posted (edited)

G is Michaels. The blue one. the RVF is the green (Luca). The VF-25S is the Ozma (Grey). VF-25F is Alto (Red and White)

G = Micheal's (blue/white)

RVF-25 = Luca's (light green/white)

F = Alto's (white/black/red)

S = Ozma's (grey/black/yellow)

Booooo Cent, you didn't have the full list when I posted.
