No kidding.

In fact, back then on Yahoo Japan, the price of the Ichi Klan Klan A prize figure dropped lower than 2000 yen. Or maybe lower.

Sheryl's price held strong, and Ranka's price was okay too. But people just didn't like Klan Klan.

I don't really understand why. :(

I'm just guessing that Macross = virtua Idol/singer worship. Klan's not a singer. Neither's Misa or Claudia or the Bridge Bunnies. So their popularity's not there among the majority of fans.

As for me, I always luv women in uniforms. I find them irresistably hot. ^_^

Not referring to the product, but rather the product name. I can think of a few countries where grown men ordring a product called "Half Age Girl" might bring you to the attention of the local constabulary!

My customs agent frontperson - who happens to be an utterly hot blonde - gave me a wierd/dirty look for my cheerleader Haruhi Suzumiya figures.

But I know why - she's just jealous that I prefer playing with Figma dolls to oogling at her. Women are soooo shallows sometimes :) "Look at me! Not the dolls!" :)

I got my Megahouse Sheryl doll this weekend..whee!!!!

It looked much nicer than I thought it would. When I first saw pics of it during pre-order I wasn't too impressed but I'm a sucker for limited, so... But I'm definitely glad I got it...can't wait for the Ranka doll which is due out at the end of the month.

BAD NEWS if your Megahouse Sheryl has been shipped to you, it has been RECALLED. Her black shorts leave really bad non-removable black marks on the lower soft plastic body. Megahouse is taking them back to replace with new shorts and replacing the torso. I'll post pics of mine it looks really bad.

yea, i was wondering if they would do that.. mine wasn't too horrible...but I was wondering what they were thinking with that vinyl shorts and a soft body doll..yea duh it will stain...but since I don't live there, it's too much trouble for me to return it. is megahouse going to do a replacement thing then? how does it work? if it's not too bad maybe i'll try and do it.

Basically if you live in Japan you send it back and bill to receiver. Send in the original box but keep the hat, sunglasses, and the extra legs and arms parts. It has to be sent back within the period of 8/20-9/18, no replacement accepted after 9/18. The figures with replaced parts will be sent back to after 10/1.

Thanks Save! Is there a website link with the info? I'll have to look into it.

Maybe there's a curse for sheryl products...first the sheryl macross f club shirts they had to recall for the funny spelling and now the dolls..lol...

There is no website link they emailed the people who purchased the figures directly. You will need to send it back to the person who bought it for you then they will have to send it back.

P.S. It's supposed to be released in late August. At least 10 more days to go!

Damn that's bad, i'm glad i'm still paying mine off, thanks for the info Adrian! :)

Can't wait to get mine back, a future prezzie for my up'n'coming little girl! :D

a bit OT: saw on an HK models site a pic of a minmei figure wearing a red chinese dress as shown on the cover of Macross Ace and recent Macross anniversary posters. wondering if it is a GK or a recast of a fig from the usual suspects ie. CM, MH, Alter etc.

anyone heard of such a figure being produced?

If it's a 1/8 and bigger figure, it's probably a GK. No news of a new Minmay figure from the big boys. They're all doing MF at the moment. CMS is the only one still releasing Macross 10cm collectible figures. I would love to have a good quality Minmay figure in a chinese dress similar to Ranka Lee. They can serve Nyan Nyan customers together. :lol:

I'm not sure if I think it's ugly or desperately need it. I'm also not sure how much I could justify spending to get a recolor of the exact same figure I already own. :wacko:

I like the original color much better. This Klan Klan looks like coming from a 70's porno movie with a sex-in-space setting.

And darn that they'll have the whole ichiban prize set "revised"!

Some of them would be merely with new colors... So far I am happy with the original colors... But who knows, I am a weak-minded fool!

no way I am getting this re-colored silver macro Klan, I like the original colors better (which are quite different from the "real" anime colors, meaning they did try different palettes and textures and got the one I like ^_^ )...if Klan wore her casual wear instead (like in the gashapon figure) that'd be a totally different story!

EDIT: which brings me to wonder if there will be any more follow-ups to the gashapons??! I'd like to have the entire SMS characters in their uniforms and/or spacesuits! The Saint Seiya style Alto figure is nice, but it's not the same!
