UN Spacy Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 could anybody (UN Spacy ) who got theirs from Amiami post a pic of the box that Klan came in... just paid for mine. i'm having it shipped to my cousin's to avoid customs, haha ... just curious how much extra space is in there... this will probably be my first and last static anime fig that i will be keeping... i previously bought a couple but decided to sell them off coz i realized i'm not really cut out to be an anime figure collector. i usually just like the mecha... but for the uber hotness that is Klan Klan w/ them super packs, i'm making an exception. You're lucky...I just finished my YT review and had the box right next to me.
UN Spacy Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Here's my HD review for MegaHouse Klan Klang. Please subscribe if ya liked it, I got a lot more Macross videos on the way.
regult Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Go wait and drool at the doorstep! I really like this Klan. Seeing your pictures with the Superpack makes me wonder how it looks like compared to the 1/72 VF-25G model
ff95gj Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Seeing your pictures with the Superpack makes me wonder how it looks like compared to the 1/72 VF-25G model Klan is 1/72 too.
ff95gj Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 1/72?? That's judging from certain armor parts... The back boosters and the leg armors are in around same size as my 1/72 VF-25s, but the shield and chest armor are bigger. I decided to use the leg armors as the control, as it is Klan's more "normal scaled" body part.
UN Spacy Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 My YT review has a shot of the DX Super Pack booster versus the Megahouse version. I'm gonna also say it's 1/72 scale.
GU-11 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Damn, now I regret canceling the pre-order for Klan at HLJ--was trying to save cash after buying the YF-19 and VF-1A Kakizaki TV version. Should have just bit the bullet and bought the Klan fig, too.
regult Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 The back boosters and the leg armors are in around same size as my 1/72 VF-25s, but the shield and chest armor are bigger. I am perv, but that statement amuses me.
VF-18S Hornet Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Came in today, but it arrived sooner than I predicted. It had arived at my day job while I was at my second job and yet no one called me I would have picked it up. But it looks like I'll have to get it tomorrow, also managed to buy a new 10 megapixel camera for better closeups when taking pictures the old one is a mere 8 megapixels and has a hard time focusing when I am too close to the subject.
Phalanix Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 (edited) Got my Klan a few days ago - definitely a must get for Macross fans. =P Too bad I don't have any large VF-25's to go along with her - gotta remedy that. Edited November 7, 2010 by Phalanix
regult Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 kind of sad to see Klan wearing the G's armor, that means Michel just got killed you know!
UN Spacy Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 The ball joints on the booster pack have already become loose. I can't say I'm surprised with all that junk in the trunk.
Phalanix Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 The ball joints on the booster pack have already become loose. I can't say I'm surprised with all that junk in the trunk. The ball joints on mine are pretty tight, one of the ball joints got stuck in the booster back and broke off the arm on mine. But that's not a big issue as the arm can still connect to the ball joint. Just wasn't a very good design but I can see why they did it this way.
m0n5t3r Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 any pics? just so i know for sure what to watch out for...
VF-18S Hornet Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) Got mine from my day job and put it together (the armor parts that is, and I say that Megahouse got Klang' "ahem" assets in the right proportions according to the anime. Let just say in addition to getting a new 10 megapixel camera and a 4GB SD card The pics are like high def can't wait for the SDF-1 to come. Of and the box is huge practically bigger than the box my Real Image Yoko came in. Edited November 8, 2010 by VF-18S Hornet
VF-18S Hornet Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) ARRRGH!! those posting limitaions Edited November 10, 2010 by VF-18S Hornet

David Hingtgen Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I'm still annoyed that we have TWO flightsuit Klans, and no flightsuit Grace. Or any Grace at all.
UN Spacy Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Protip.NO ONE but you cares about Grace. Please don't ban me.
Kicker773 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 LOL.. Grace is a cyborg..Sex appeal: Alien > Cyborg
David Hingtgen Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Protip.NO ONE but you cares about Grace. The multiple other users with Grace in their avatar discounts that.
anime52k8 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 The multiple other users with Grace in their avatar discounts that. Because there are SO many people with Grace avatars on the boards... (and the ones you surreptitiously changed to grace don't count. )
frothymug Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Let me guess... the assembly instructions are only in Japanese too??
anime52k8 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Let me guess... the assembly instructions are only in Japanese too?? if you need to read the text instructions on a figure like this, you're doing it wrong.
frothymug Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I'm just saying that when you buy anything that requires installation or assembly instructions, the manuals usually come in at least 4 languages. The fact that the manual for this toy, and probably all of the others, comes in Japanese is another little quirk... same as why there are never any subtitles for Macross releases. I agree, though, that if you need instructions to build this figurine, you might have some other problems to deal with.
Phalanix Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 The instructions were only pictures, no text. Well, aside from A, B, C and different length support beams for the booster packs, it's not that hard to figure out.
