regult Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 KILL IT WITH FIRE! REMEMBER. AIM FOR THE BRAIN. Gosh, i am going to have nightmares...maybe i should blow up my own brain instead to unsee the unspeakable. Can somebody please delete that image?
mitch Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 That 'zombie sheryl' is truly horrific! As much as I support anyone's right to collect whatever they want, if you find such a... thing appealing you need some psychiatric help. Even if you're a serious completionist and your goal is to get everything with a Macross label on it, you should get it, leave it in the box, put it in another box, wrap it in chains and put it away for safe keeping at the bottom of a very deep lake (or a well, considering it looks like an extra from Ringu). Worst. Macross. Collectable. EVER!!! Seriously, is that supposed to be a custom or is it really being mass produced?
VFTF1 Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 is that supposed to be a custom or is it really being mass produced? Yamato have already announced that they are discontinuing the VF-1 in favor of 17 color variations of that doll. Pete
eugimon Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Yamato have already announced that they are discontinuing the VF-1 in favor of 17 color variations of that doll. Pete stop spreading lies. It was already announced that the doll is the newest Toynami MP Sheryl in accordance with the latest super supreme court ruling that states that HG does in fact own all things macross.
macrossnake Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 The doll is just in time for Halloween!
Ghost Train Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 (edited) stop spreading lies. It was already announced that the doll is the newest Toynami MP Sheryl in accordance with the latest super supreme court ruling that states that HG does in fact own all things macross. Also in accordance to the ruling, the names of the said characters have been changed to better suit western audiences. The galaxy fairy Sheryl Nome is now Elaine Smith. Any attempt to publicly state either verbally or in writing the previous name of the character will result in a $10,000 fine, jail time, and free membership in Robotech.com. Thank you. "Elaine Smith" is so much better! "Sheryl Nome"? Blah. Good that HG owns the Macross Frontier license now that someone who really knows about Macross gets the say. It's rumoured that they are negotiating on the license of Keroro; I presume that they are going to merge the two animes that we can have a 300+ episode of Robotech Frontier? PLEEEAAAASE?
sharky Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Does anyone know what this means? It is in regard to my Sheryl coming from Anime Export. I was following it as it was making it's way to me. I have not received it yet. The last status has me puzzled. Does "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" mean that it is going to ship now from Japan? As in, all the activity so far was just paperwork stuff. I thought the "Inbound International Arrival" meant it was in the US and perhaps being held up in Customs. Here is the tracking history: Origin Post is Preparing Shipment Inbound International Arrival, September 04, 2009, 8:28 pm, ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS) Foreign International Dispatch, September 02, 2009, 10:59 am, TOKYO INT, JAPAN Foreign Arrival at Outward Office, September 02, 2009, 9:24 am, TOKYO INT, JAPAN Foreign Acceptance, September 01, 2009, 3:00 pm, JAPAN The only other detail regarding the current status is: We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece. I'm sort of scratching my head on this one because it's not EMS, but it's not regular SAL either. It seems to be SAL, but registered mail. I'd like to think that it's in New York and it's being processed to eventually come to me, but I'm not so sure because of the "origin post" stuff.
VF-18S Hornet Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 When are they going to re-release the Macro-Klan figureing I noticed on HLJ that there is going to be a DX Klan Klan figure but no pictures and it's to be released in November. So far I missed out, and want one.

Phalanix Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 A lot of the links of the new Sheryl "rise up" figure says N.A. version. Anyone know what that means specifically? How many versions will there be?

KiriK Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 whoa, i was checking out the rest of the pictures from that Zombie Sheryl Link and they have some other decent figs. The Ranka doll version looks decent, but man.. what a Klan klan figure!!

The Ranka doll version looks decent, but man.. what a Klan klan figure!! painted resin garage kit. if there was any kind of justice in the world that would be turned into a PVC figure. but I doubt it will.
UN Spacy Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 That's a great Klan resin. HUBBA HUBBA HUBBA. Hopefully Megahouse will release a full sized Klan in the future.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 yeah nice KlanKlan, i'm still reserved on Sheryl for now, but would like to get a Klan somewhere. I do doubt i'd ever get a Ranka, the latest one coming out is nice...
ff95gj Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 This klan's facial expression looks creepy to me.
Major Focker Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 great figure, but doesn't look like klan. same for the sheryl swimsuit figure.
Mercurial Morpheus Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) Yeah, the swimsuit Klan is rather generic looking. I can't believe they made a figure of that overly blatant nose art. Oh wait, it's Japan. I guess I can. I still wonder how they got away with it on the van. "It's the perfect embodyment of her passion, her showmanship and her playfulness." Ahhh, put a bullet in it. All it shows is her looking like a damn floozy. If that's the perfect embodiment of her, than she's a rather shallow character indeed (though I suppose it represents her mask quite well) . At least the face is less creepy than the actual art. Though the sculpt itself looks pretty good. Excellent infact. And just to cut it off at the pass, I'm mostly joking around here. Still, it's bewildering that that art got chosen for a figure, as the bullet and slogan just tip the scale a little too much, and I'm a big fan of nose art. Though I suppose there's worse art of her. I need to check this thread more often. I now demand they make a figure based off the RCA Ranka takeoff. Edited September 16, 2009 by Mercurial Morpheus
macrossnake Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 New Sheryl swimsuit figure here: news from: http://ga.sbcr.jp/mreport/013717/
UN Spacy Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 What're the scale of Banpresto's DX's figures? BTW. I just noticed that Klan, Ranka, and now Sheryl have all been in bikini's. I guess #4 will be Nanase or Cathy. FYI. The Lucky Star x Macross F figures are OUT on 9/26!!! http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-108659-1-1.html
ff95gj Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Does the Ex-Gear Alto go under this thread? I have seen it in a shop already today.
Sumdumgai Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Wow, the Megahouse Sheryl figure is even better in person than I had expected. And it's great to have the option of not putting those suspenders on her.
D' only Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 2010 Spring Alter X Megahouse Ranka Lee Figure http://akibahobby.net/2009/09/ch2009_rankalee_a.html we need more figures from other macross series too...

Fortress_Maximus Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 How many of you are getting the Banpresto Sheryl Final Dress?
CF18 Posted October 4, 2009 Author Posted October 4, 2009 How many of you are getting the Banpresto Sheryl Final Dress? #1: Probably 0. That version is a special final lucky draw item, only 100 units were made. #2: Many. That is the regular release so many got it and posted about it before. The "encore" version is coming: http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/10/ich...s-frontier.html

In fact. you either have to be very rich or very lucky. This guy (see link) scored one in Japan for 198,000 yen. That's almost US$2000 http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-110403-1-1.html
ff95gj Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 I'd say buy the original colors, and hire a pro modeller to re-paint it. Personally I like the colored suit better!

I am very patient... the hunt is part of the fun.

Original Colours are fine. Now the 28cm Sheryl, totally worth it for the price paid, only 700 made, and she's beautiful, plus can be outfitted with many costumes and negate the need to buy the rest of the fixed posed figures/statues coming out, hell i can get Sheryl to do more than sit pretty over a Gunpod Shell. j/k Edited October 6, 2009 by ruskiiVFaussie
