nylcbv Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Having received my Defender, I was disappointed by the color " yellow-mustard"... I decided to repaint my defender in "Olive drab" that is more color's army than the yellow Caterpillar... After sanding, I use air spray Tamiya AS-6. To follow... Quote
nylcbv Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 Let us pass in the part of bottom... Beurk, the color "blue-grey"of the joints is hideous... I repeinds that with XF-56 "Metallic Grey" of Tamiya... I demont again After a weathering, I apply stickers to my taste... And now, I think it's better?! No? Quote
RogueTrooper Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Looks awesome, im a fan of both colour schemes but the green does look more military like. The decals make it look really cool. Quote
Excillon Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Nice job, but I have one question: Why does it have vf and skull squadron markings? Quote
Lethalzero Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 because roy made this baby his, after losing Vf-1s to hikaru.. just kidding.... its custom that's way Quote
edwin3060 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Wow it looks great! OD all the way! Quote
jardann Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Looks like a real ground pounder with that OD color. Your finish looks great! It would look really mean with a little more weathering and dirtying up. Those white markings really stand out on the darker surface. I definitely like the color change you made to the joint areas, good choice there. Keep up the good work and your "Engrish" is just fine. Your work speaks for itself! Quote
Lt. Z0mBe Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I think it looks great! I love the olive drab look. Kenny Quote
nylcbv Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 I used my " Tamiya weathering master " and here is the result... And with my tomahawk... Quote
jardann Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 That's great! It really blends in the decals perfectly. That weathering job really finishes off the kit. Great work! Quote
edwin3060 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Oooh heavy weathering-- Just a little too heavy for my taste, makes it look a little too cartoonish. But still great! Quote
skonchboy Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Both look awesome - my preference is the lighter sandy coloured one as it really brings out the detail, it looks almost lifesize. Quote
