wwkkim Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Wouldn't it look great to use 2mm plastic flexible rod to replicate the full blast mode of Armored Valks? It has been tried many times in gundam, so i'm just wondering if it has been tried in Yamato Valks. Quote
VFTF1 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Whatever picture you've attached is not displaying, so it's hard (for me at least) to know what you're talking about Pete Quote
DarkReaper Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 i guess he means this: I guess so many rods would have to be used to represent an alpha strike that you would have a forest of those little sticks. Quote
VFTF1 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 So THAT'S what Nu Gundam's clothing rack is for! I always wondered about that. Pete Quote
wwkkim Posted January 31, 2009 Author Posted January 31, 2009 not a burst mode but close enough =) Yeah! Something like that but use transparent plastic rod to show this kind of scene Quote
VFTF1 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Somebody in the toy thread has done one of those. I remember it - it was in one of the older strike a pose threads I think... using cotton and stuff for plumes of smoke - it was pretty sweet. Some Macross World member has done it though. Pete Quote
edwin3060 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 It's definitely possible... but probably wayy too much work. Quote
anime52k8 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 if I had a GPB I would totally try that, but sadly I don't. Quote
Renato Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Yes, I have seen this done in a photograph in an old magazine from the 1980s, I think it showed members of Takatoku staff with a GBP 1/55 on the table, and the missiles being launched with plastic wires or something. I cannot remember what magazine or book this was, and most of my Macross books are back in London so I can't help much more than that... which die-hard Macfan can manage to find it?? Quote
Smiley424 Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 I will reinforce the notion that a pic of what you are looking for has appeared on the board before. I remember someone commenting "Q-Tip Attack" which was pretty memorable. It was a pretty slick custom job. Quote
tank Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 not a burst mode but close enough =) wow thats alot of bubble wraps Quote
ultimateone Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I'm not sure if it's the wine talking, but I think I'm going to give it a shot... I've got four days off starting Sunday, this seems like a good way to avoid the chores the wifey has laid out. /I'm Quote
