big F Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Well when you see it with the launch arm and U.N Spacey base it looks great. Then you see the shot of it next to a ruler and notice its less than 4cm long. Nice. Quote
505thAirborne Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I've gotta stop being in a hurry when leaving a response!! Now i see the 1/400 VF-1, wow that thing is tiny!! But the launch arm display is really cool!!! Quote
SchizophrenicMC Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Whoo... *Passes out* Damn, that's small. Quote
MechTech Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 (edited) And everyone thinks I build in a small scale! That's awesome work! Pricey though! You could put a whole squadron on your coffee pot, but don't drink any when painting! Talk about needing steady hands! - MT Oops, correction this is about 9 US dollars, or 7 UK pounds if I read right! Edited January 22, 2009 by MechTech Quote

Amirn Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 He has been communicating with me and I have already sent off for 2 of them. It cost me 25 USD for 2 of them and that included the shipping. So I sent him $30 USD to be generous. I sent him the cash via USPS on Tuesday. So I am hoping to have them in hand in a couple of weeks. I am really hoping for a descent casting and resin. Quote
MechTech Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I'm trying to e-mail him again. Still interested in a group buy if it comes down to that. -- MT Quote
orguss01 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I sent him the cash via USPS on Tuesday. What I am hoping i wont have to do.... Quote
Amirn Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 What I am hoping i wont have to do.... Ya. I hate sending cash in mail. To easy to get scammed, but even if so, it's not enough to go broke on. Has he replied to anyone else yet? Quote
Amirn Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I sent him a link to this topic and here is his response It is an encouragement of all sentenses. I will do more plane to share will all of Macross fans.Ha Ha.....Thanks your supportting. So I am guessing he is going to be getting ready for some more orders from all of you. Quote

Amirn Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I got mine in today. Got two of them. If anyone is interested in pics of the kits, post a reply and I will post them. Quote
MechTech Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I ordered two kits as well and sent him the money. Some pictures would be cool! - MT Quote
Amirn Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Here you go MT. Sorry for the crappy pics, it was very hard to get anything good because the parts are so small. Quite a few pieces were made in the same mold, but the detail on the parts are awesome for there scale. The parts have a lot of flashing as well, which is going to be a pain to get rid of without cracking the parts, but the resin is a descent hard yet flexible resin. it does not seem to be the cheap fragile resin. I think he did well, but this kit is definitely for an expert modeler, simply because of it small size and the flashing you have to deal with. Quote
ultimateone Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I'm in for two of these if there is a group buy. They look pretty damn cool. Quote
MechTech Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Thanks Amirn! I just have to wait now! Ultimateone, I don't know if we're still doing a group buy. If you contact him directly (see his website), he should get back to you. - MT Quote
