I think that one of us NorCal-ers needs to step up to the plate, organize something and state it here to make it official. I personally would preffer San Jose because it is closer to Santa Cruz than SF. Quote

I live right next to Golden Gate Park and less than a mile from the ocean, have cheap rent (for SF anyway) and get paid 20 grand more than my last job, so for now, anyway, it works. Quote

Mercurial Morpheus Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 (edited) I'd be up for it possibly. I'm in Modesto. SF or my hometown of SJ shouldn't be a problem. Note that the 2/22/09 date is merely what they're celebrating in Japan. It's seems more a Macross F promo though as I understand it, since the date appears chosen to tie in with it (Their event is titled, "Macross: The Super Dimension Space Launching Ceremony ~It's Really 2009 Already…It's 2/22 (Nyan Nyan Nyan), Deculture!~." ) The Compendium has the actual exact date as 2/07/09, which is a Saturday. If so, it might make sense to have it on the canon day, and not one chosen simply because of a pun in the date. Besides, 2/22/ is the week before Wondercon.
