Macross DYRL, Yamato, Valkyries, VF -1 series, diecast parts chipping

Hi! Does anybody else have paint chipping from the diecast areas of their valkyries (namely the areas that the plastic snaps into place when transforming)?

1. How do you prevent this from happening?

2. Can anybody make a plastic replica of parts colormatched to kit so we can swap it? Shouldnt Yamato take care of this issue?

3. Do some of you have more than one so you don't have to transform it?
