Totoro242 Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 (edited) Most of my collection of Macross music. I really like collecting the vinyl more because some of the releases come with posters, plus the artwork is really large and you can see the art so much better (There are some Macross video games and Mospeada music mixed in too) I'll sneak in some more SC and Mospeada vinyl Edited December 30, 2008 by Totoro242 Quote
AcroRay Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 (edited) I only have one LP - TV BGM vol 1, which I got from Books Nippan way back in about '86. Best thing about it is Mari autographed it for me! Back then - and even now - I'd never have believed I would ever get to meet her, let alone have her show up in Pittsburgh PA... which she did at Tekkoshocon a couple of years ago. I missed her solo concert at the convention (I had a live event to produce elsewhere), but managed to make it for her Sunday panel and autograph session. This old bit of vinyl will always be an extra special part of my collection. Edited December 30, 2008 by AcroRay Quote

Lots of nice art you can't find anywhere else, or in such large formats. Question: Which Mac7 album has the song Millia sang in "Encore: Who Do You Love?" Quote

cschell Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I'm not a CD/LP collector, so I'm not sure if this is rare or not, but I thought I'd pass on this link to an auction for Macross "Jam Trip" over at Mandarake. http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/auc_e/itemInfo.do?itemId=03002853490100001 Quote

I have never seen this second record before. Is it called Macross Synthesizer Fantasy II or Macross II Synthesizer Fantasy? Does it also says "Mingmay's Songs"? I also did not find either listing on the Macross Compendium. Very interesting. Quote
Peabody Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Not the biggest music collection here LA2019 but definatley one of the nicest. Quote

Dunno where you've been looking, but it may be right under your nose. If you search around, you will find it. where might i find "Synthesizer Fantasy"? can you point me in the right direction? also; here's everything i have so far. not much, but far better than nothing; i sure do need to shore up my MACROSS CD collection though; i'm well prepared with one of the best CD players ever made, the 1987/1990 PIONEER PD-91, and "MACROSS; THE COMPLETE" pretty much takes care of SDF/DYRL related MACROSS music for me, i just need to work on a couple of the essential MAC. PLUS albums, and perhaps some of the rarer discs out there, such as the aforementioned "DIGITAL TRIP; MACROSS SYNTHESIZER FANTASY" Edited February 21, 2011 by Shaorin Quote
Peabody Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I guess if I had that CD player Id want to brag about it every chance I got too? Quote
LA2019 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Dang Shaorin, that CD player is OLD SCHOOL! I love it! It reminds me of my old Sony CDP-X777ES cd player. That thing was a tank too. But not as heavy as my Sony SCD-1 SACD player that weights almost 60lbs. BTW, that's a nice collection of music and audio gear.... Quote
Shaorin Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) SONY SCD-1 that's sweet!! you still own/use it? anyway, thanks. it was PIONEER's very first "ELITE" series audiophile-grade CD player, their 1987/1990 PD-91. it weighs about 26lbs. and listed at $1300.00USD back in it's day. it has a magnificent sound quality, and has been claimed to meet/exceed most any sub-$1k.USD CD player made today. mine is unique, AFIK however, as it possesses the solid aluminum top panel and solid steel outboard power transformer support foot that was included on the japanese market-only PD-3000 variant, of which the U.S. stock PD-91 subtitutes a sheet metal top bonnet and hollow polycarbonate transformer foot. it also possesses the PD-3000's heavy resin-filled main isolator feet, which were provided empty/hollow on the PD-91 model. these upgrades were made from a dead/irreparable PD-3000 i acquired from a fellow audiophile/collector, which i assume had bought it in japan long ago, or picked it up via RINKYA on the net... LA2019 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Here it is in all its glorious aluminum beauty... Quote
