While the mecha aspect of it seems somewhat interesting, I think for this series to be good, it will have to have some good character development, and they will have to be fun and interesting. If it tries to rely strictly on mecha, I don't think this will be all that good. Jury is out, can't wait to see it. Anyone know if this will make it to the U.S.? It seems like it would since it has to do with basketball. Quote

REbirth Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 (edited) Hmm, after thinking about it, I think it's an in-joke of the show, Eclipse = Idol group Eclipse, a fictional band in the BASQUASH world, and they are going to perform the Opening theme of the show lol. Megumi Nakajima voices Citron, a member of the band, that's why she has a part in the theme song performance. If all this speculation are true, it would be pretty damn sweet! Also, the Legend of BASQUASH Special Program is going to air today, hope someone will get the RAW, can't wait to see what SK has to say about this new series. yellowlightman Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Watched the first episode and I gotta say, I liked it. I'm no basketball fan, but I don't think you need to be to enjoy it. The production quality is great, and the design work looks fantastic-- thanks to Thomas Romain. The characters are a mixed bag; there's the obligatory moe girl, the big-breasted side kick and a main character who looks like he walked out of a generic shonen series. Hopefully it'll do better than Frontier and actually do something interesting with the characters, rather than just throwing them in to pander to different demographics. Also, I'm trying to figure out in what world most of Kawamori's works aren't a bit "silly." Sorry, was Frontier hard sci-fi? Quote
