Ghost Train Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I hope it'll let you free roam through the city. This brings back memories, I used to play the GB megadrive game when I was little. Quote
taksraven Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 NOTHING can top the original C64 game with the synthsised speech (a really big deal at the time). Taksraven Quote
Keith Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) looks good. Hope it lays well Ewww, isn't the disc too sticky to read when you try to play it after? Edited December 5, 2008 by Keith Quote
Warmaker Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Ewww, isn't the disc too sticky to read when you try to play it after? I'm guessing the disc wouldn't even skip. Because it's... umm... stuck due to something Quote

F-ZeroOne Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Given the way this thread is going, the following line is mandatory: "He SLIMED me!" Quote
aaajin Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 just whaaat r u guys been talking about? My pure mind just couldn't understand it.... anyways, this game looks hot. Might get the PC version when it comes out Quote
lord_breetai Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Ewww, isn't the disc too sticky to read when you try to play it after? well now that I think of it, the for play part usually comes before the sticky part not after... so I guess there's no problem there. And we should really stop now. Quote
Warmaker Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 No, not stopping. Just a few minutes mooorree..... Quote
Keith Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Ok, now I've actually watched the trailer This game actually looks way better than i imagined it would. After seeing this, I don't mind the idea of that CG movie sequel. Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 (edited) haha, OMG, that game looks so freakin fun I read that the game was written by harold Ramis and Dan Akroid and will be a continuation to the previews 2 movies, awesome! noticed there's a fifth ghostbuster, maybe that will be the playable character Edited December 7, 2008 by Valkyrie addict Quote
Radd Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I walked in extremely skeptical, and now I can't wait to see more. Quote
Warmaker Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 We'll see how this goes. Normally, games based from movies are horrid. But I hope this turns out for the better. We may not get a proper Ghostbusters movie sequel anymore, but hopefully this game gets enough love to entice the old fans. Quote

Game looks like it's probably going to have a strong plot, with good comedic moments thrown in there (as Ghostbusters should be)... but yeah, gameplay is another matter. Quote
Warmaker Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 They got the original Ghostbuster actors involved, along with a few of the other actors. Not all, but some of them. A big plus was Bill Murray I would have thought he would decline contributing towards this. Quote
Wes Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 I thought we already had a thread on this. Little down on the fact that the Wii version is shitty but I got a PS3 so I won't miss out. Quote
crescens Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 (edited) first of all... lol @ thread name... right away knew it's about Ghostbusters and yes, this game will be like a honey for my childish part ( always loved ghostbusters ) Bill Murray rocks as always ( same in Lost in Translation and many others, he's just like Harrison Ford - the best ) edit. Listning to Bobby Brown - On Our Own ( damn yeah i want this game with this kind of soundtrack ) Edited December 10, 2008 by crescens Quote

A big plus was Bill Murray I would have thought he would decline contributing towards this. I heard a couple of months ago that there was a new movie in the works. I believe a draft was being written by some writers from The Office. Harold Ramis was involved as well. All of the old cast members had mentioned they were interested in it. This is even including Bill Murray. I just hope this game and Aliens: Colonial Marines live up to the hype. Quote
jenius Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 The only guy they couldn't get involved was Rick Moranis (sp?) because he's so rich from the "Honey I shrunk the..." franchise that he never wants to work on anything again. NIiiiiiiiiiice. Quote

jenius Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 She died in 91 and that definitely caused a time out (definitely not NIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice). From what I hear now though is he just does whatever he wants. That's not to say he does nothing, he does some music and producing but I read a Yahoo news blurb a while ago about him that said the Ghostbusters gang couldn't get him 'cause he's wealthy enough to do whatever he feels like... and Ghostbusters ain't what he feels like. Well it sucks for the fans sure, but can you blame him? He's living the life he wants, how he wants it... which is cool Quote
