What does the New UN Spacy logo look like?

Too many legal tendrils attached to that insignia, unfortunately...

Didn't stop them from using it in the games. More like making Harmony Gold not parasite on their new material.

The designs are Studio Nue's.

The change from UN Spacy to New UN Spacy has been speculated as an effect of Wilbur Garland's attempted coup in VFX-2 leading to reforms.

Also the change in dynamics of the civilian government and the military within a fleet.

In Macross 7 Millia was only in charge of City 7.

In Macross Frontier the military is subordinate to the local government.

According to some scenes in Macross Frontier the kite logo was still used with an elaborate embroidered pinstripe design surrounding it, it can be seen on the wings of the VF-171, Battle Frontier (Battle mode) and Battle Galaxy (battle mode)

You know, I'm pretty sure that the logo (at least on the VF-171) is simply the NUNS logo.

Didn't that take place in 2063 four years after the events in Macross Frontier.

This explain why Galaxy fleet turning rogue. And it appears each of the fleet have their own markings now like M Frontier logo and M Galaxy logo. I wonder what kind of logo M Seven would have. ^_^

Now, now...we don't know that. It's merely a guess.

Besides, the kite logo DOES show up a few times in Frontier (on the VF-1A on top of the school and during "Legend of Zero"), so if they really wanted to do away with the kite completely, they did a poor job of it.

aww man....the kite is a classic like the Vf-1....they certainly didn't do away with that valk.

So let me get this right.....

Kite Logo = Old UNG w/Spacy,AF,M etc

New fugly Logo = NUNS

NUNS - Kite Logo = Frontier......as it seems

So the Frontier controls its on military apart from the original UNG....acting as NUNS?

Not exactly.

They have an autonomous colonial government aboard the Frontier. It is most likely that the UNG is now more of a federal body with member colony worlds (fleets) participating in it. The federal laws are passed and the member worlds abide by them in exchange for collective support from the Federal Government. Such as providing a military presence for their protection and allowing them access to the Galaxy Network.

The Galaxy was corporately funded and thus runs like a corporation (an oligarcy) with no democratic representation for the populous. It also allows them to skirt around any laws regarding implants and the like since the Galaxy fleet would be considered the private property of the Galaxy consortium of investors.

I think Kawamori was trying to show the audience how multi-national corporations operate in our global society.

Fixed. It's all about the money and power.
