With regards to the poster, I'm usually initially turned off by how they seem to be progressively drawing Sheryl slurmtier and slurmtier*... but then I realize that we're talking about "Sheryl, Sheryl Nome." Rather than a retelling I've been told that the story has taken a different path and with a new story now as a result. Now that I can get excited with.

It seemed clear to me just from the preview at the end of 1.0 that 2.0 was going to be monumentally different. But it's nice to have confirmation.

But it's nice to have confirmation. yeah, specially with the trailers that i've seen. eva 1.0 more or less followed the series with some minor changes, and major design revisions. But from 2.0 onwards, looks like it's gonna be a different ballgame. man, i can't wait to see it! what? wait, this is a macross thread? sorry. back to topic, i'd gladly wait a bit longer for MF movie 2 if it means a new story.

Nothing to fear there, I don't have the details myself. I just asked if there was a change in the stoyline since they're introducing a new character and he replied I was correct, and in a good way. Kinda surprised you haven't seen it yet actually. Now as for the Frontier movie, from the buzz, it seems like we'll have to wait till the second movie to get something new in the storyline. More waiting....

Well, on a big screen, I didn't notice any flaws. From what I can remember, shey showed Cowgirl Sheryl, Ranka on some sort of Segway, Brera (i a different outift! Yay for costuming decisions!) taking off his sunglasses, the VF-25S, the VF-27, and some cell phone text messages (which are reprinted in Macross Ace). But yeah, a lot of shots of characters' faces.
