sketchley Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 DYRL - style. Was there a new interview with Kawamori? Feb.2009 issue of Newtype.
MegaX Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 That is not confirmed. I'm glad. I'm kinda hoping for a sequel more than a movie adaptation. =P
magnuskn Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 (edited) That is not confirmed. Uh, what? Unless something has greatly changed, the last interviews clearly stated we´d get a retelling of the series. Not that I´d mind a sequel, I´d be ecstatic... but all I have heard, from multiple sources, is that we get a retelling. Feb.2009 issue of Newtype. Is that the one of which we already got information, or has information about it yet to be released to us? Edited February 15, 2009 by magnuskn
MegaX Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) Is there anyone that has the MacrossF.com Movie section videos to play perfectly on their computer? Every time I click on them the video starts playing, but I get crackled music and almost like a slide show of 1-2 pics. Edited February 19, 2009 by MegaX

Germán Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) MF official vote your favourite scene and character http://www.satelight.co.jp/animefair/vote.html I choose Alto and Ranka. ... ep 4 - Miss Macross ... ep 12 - Fastest Delivery KIRA! ... ep 21 - Blue Ether bye! terry the lone wolf Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I wanted to pick Ozma but my translator didn't get his name so I picked Alto and Sheryl. My favorite scenes were from Miss Macross, Fastest Delivery, and episode 25 (I forgot the title).
Morpheus Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I choose : Michel and Sheryl Epi.7 Mecha pron Epi.17. aka the day SK trolled us Epi.25 orgasm of music and mecha pron.
Graham Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I wanted to pick Ozma but my translator didn't get his name so I picked Alto and Sheryl. My favorite scenes were from Miss Macross, Fastest Delivery, and episode 25 (I forgot the title). Google also didn't translate Ozma's name, so I found out which one it was by going to the Compendium as the have the Japanese characters for his name next to the English. I voted Ozma and Sheryl and also chose eps 7, 17 and 25. No idea what the box in the middle is for. Graham
UN Spacy Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Voted for episodes 7, 20, and 25. Voted for the Princess and the Queen.
westfall Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 (edited) For starters, this is not a fair vote, if i could i would vote for (almost)every episode and character. But since i can't and had to choose, here it is: -For Mister Macross ------ OZMA LEE ---- Come on, the guy is the king of cool, a Fire Bomber Fan and pilots an armored Vf- 25. Alto and Michael are close runner-ups. -For Miss Macross ------ KLAN KLEIN ---- The whole genetic disorder thing was a fresh twist and her tragic love story made me love her from the start. Sheryl and Cathy come next. Favorite episodes (this was a tough one): Ep. 2 - HARD CHASE: The pursuit scene in the beginning is what got me into this series in the first place. Ep. 14 - MOTHER'S LULLABY: Mecha Porn, anyone? (I know ep 7 is in the same cathegory but this one has more kick to it) Ep. 25 - YOUR SOUND: Do i really need to explain why i chose this one? MACROSS F ROCKED. Edited February 20, 2009 by westfall
VF-25 Messiah Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 No idea what the box in the middle is for. Graham Choosing what scenes in particular you liked.
Mercurial Morpheus Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 (edited) I'd vote, but I can't really remember what my favorites are. Frontiers a blur. Going by jogging my memory of titles, maybe 7, 13(14?), and one other. Perhaps 18 had it not caused so much pain concerning Sheryl afterwards. Characters are a touch clearer. I'd pick either Ozma or Alto, and Grace or maybe Ranka. Love how Booby's under women. Any point to this outside of collecting pointless data? Edited February 20, 2009 by Mercurial Morpheus

Final Vegeta Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Any point to this outside of collecting pointless data? I think this kind of information may be used as basis on what to develop more in the movie. For this reason I voted Brera who I felt was underdeveloped in the series, and also Ranka. As for episodes, I voted 12, 17 and 25. FV
DeX-kun Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I think this kind of information may be used as basis on what to develop more in the movie. For this reason I voted Brera who I felt was underdeveloped in the series, and also Ranka. As for episodes, I voted 12, 17 and 25. FV This could also mean that the movie is probably going to be kind of short and they want to know what they should cover the most.
David Hingtgen Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Could anyone give me the kanji or katakana to type in for "Grace in flightsuit at end of ep 22" for the specific favorite scene comment box? (I'm serious)
SkullLeaderVF-X Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 KLAN IS CUTE. THAT IS ALL. I think Nene's cuter.
magnuskn Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Shaloom from the Spanish Macross Generation forums has done liner notes for all episodes, up to episode 21 at this point. He kindly allowed me to translate them to English for our edification. I´ve finished all the existing liner notes and you can find them here on the AnimeSuki forum. Please leave them there and do not disseminate them around the internet. If you decide to be a dink and disregard this plea, then at least credit Shaloom and link back to the Macross Generation forums. The members of that community do not like people posting their stuff without attribution.

(actually, I remember I read on this forum that those where ethereal bodies, but I never found that post again) Also hilarious how things Ranka was bashed for (and even things Sheryl was praised for) were actually references of SDFM's novels. He kindly allowed me to translate them to English for our edification. This is awesome, man and I thought I got all the previous Macross references in F. Can't wait for the translation of episode 25's note, which referenced every Macross anime ever (maybe even Macross II).
Final Vegeta Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Can't wait for the translation of episode 25's note, which referenced every Macross anime ever (maybe even Macross II). You will have to wait for the last DVD/BD to come out, though FV
magnuskn Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) Also hilarious how things Ranka was bashed for (and even things Sheryl was praised for) were actually references of SDFM's novels. FV Well, they may have been references and homages, but Ranka definitely was the Minmay of Frontier... and not in a good way. You will have to wait for the last DVD/BD to come out, though FV More for the subs of the group associated with the Macross Generation forums. Shaloom only posts the liner notes when those are ready. They are not doing the DVD/B-R releases however, only the normal TV releases. Edited February 21, 2009 by magnuskn

I never know that Kawamori hate the pirates so much, but if he didn't like the idea, why did he include a pirate faction back in Macross 7 Dynamite?
MacrossCN Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) MF Movie, 2009, autumn plans!!!!! Today L.C.
VF-25 Messiah Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Ah, so it's been pushed back to autumn... (Or am I simply deluding myself when I recall it was to be out in summer?)
REbirth Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 MF Movie, 2009, autumn plans!!!!! Great, I will have to wait for another 6 months. Kidding aside, I'm kinda glad they are spending their precious times making the movie, I hope it's gonna be awesome. Er...no new arts for the ero-van though And what happened in the Nyan Nyan Festival?
Final Vegeta Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) I never know that Kawamori hate the pirates so much, but if he didn't like the idea, why did he include a pirate faction back in Macross 7 Dynamite? They were poachers, not pirates but maybe Kawamori didn't like the idea that good guys became pirates. You know, in real world pirates are bad people, only in fiction they are honorable. edwin3060 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I hope that the movie will be even more compelling then, with a better storyline, rather than just a clip show of the TV series with abit of new Klan action!

But at least, I'm glad that Kawamori takes his staff's opinion on the matter. Also hell yeah, BASQUASH!!!
