honkhet Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 me too, although it did take me sometime to get over the scale problem (wish they were 1/60 :'( ) looking forward to michel's vf-25G and klan's Q-rea, they chouldnt be together on the show, but they'll be together forever on my display
VFTF1 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 They look so nice next to the Yamatos I'm happy to see more pics of them side by side. Really lovely. Can't wait... Pete
SDF-ONE Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 However - can you guys tell me what colors I need for Ozma? I mean - something more specific than just "grey" That is - it won't matter what shade of grey I choose will it? If my gray paint doesn't match up to the factory painted part from Bandai - that's not going to cause a problem is it? Thanks, Pete Just keep in mind that some of the markings on the wings are gray as well. So do not make your dark gray too dark otherwise the decals will not show up.
azrael Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 1/72 VF-25F w/ Super pack and Super pack for the 1/72 VF-25s
SDF-ONE Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Toysdaily has a preview of an unbuilt VF-25F Clear. It has no colored thrusters or stabilizers as seen on the box. I guess they expect you to use clear paint on these parts (just like the canopy ). http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-87138-1-1.html
alfye Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 (edited) More details! This kit is a good option to customize a regular VF with new decals and crome inners parts. Edwin3060 I envy your decisson of buy 2 of this Edited February 14, 2009 by alfye
protostar8 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Sorry if this has been posted before. http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/02/172...siah-super.html Pics of all the valks with super parts. Now I absolutely can't wait for Luca and Michael...
MegaX Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Am wondering if anyone has a high resolution scan of the vf-25f model box art? Similar to the vf-25s here.
edwin3060 Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 More details! This kit is a good option to customize a regular VF with new decals and crome inners parts. Edwin3060 I envy your decisson of buy 2 of this Heh I only bought one... I am tempted to buy another one though, to make a half Alto/half clear hybrid for display-- I think it would be awesome! Maybe if I can get it for a decent price (~$100, shipping included) Anybody with the connections to make this happen please do pm me!
shiroikaze Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 The Alto Superpack combo box looks so much better...
Hikuro Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 man I really want some super parts but I'm so broke until next month. I dunno how I'm gonna pay for my car!!!
VFTF1 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Why are those pictures so blurry? Thanks by the way to SDF-ONE for the advice Pete
Guest sh002 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 i think the reason why the intakes on mine are not flush with the other parts in fighter mode is because the legs need to be pulled out a little bit from the hip joints.
Guest sh002 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 (edited) boxart for the rvf-25. i think i'm going to modify one of the ghosts and paint it red. http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/02/dx-...oming-soon.html Edited February 16, 2009 by sh002
protostar8 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 boxart for the rvf-25. i think i'm going to modify one of the ghosts and paint it red. http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/02/dx-...oming-soon.html I've thought about doing that too. I'd bet a lot of MW members have...
honkhet Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 hmm i wanted to do that too, but dont think i wil in the end... an RVF protected by ghosts is a really cool concept need all 3 so i can call them simon, peter, john!!! haha "' wonder if they'll ever have ghost-V9 kits available? anyway so far, i'm really happy with the frontier 1/72 kit product line
SDF-ONE Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I've thought about doing that too. I'd bet a lot of MW members have... And why stop with only 2 versions when you get 3 ghosts?
edwin3060 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 The V-9 would need alot of scratchbuilding though... Maybe they will be nice enough to release V-9s with the green recolour of the inevitable VF-27 kit?
Kelsain Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I've thought about doing that too. I'd bet a lot of MW members have... Raises hand. Gotta have the X-9!! Actually, I've thought that I might tray making an easy mold of the Ghost sprue. It's been a while since I've molded anything, but then I could have S,J, & P, as well as an X-9, V-9, etc... without paying for lots of shipping.
Guest sh002 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 i hope bandai makes more macross series 1/72 tranformable model kits after frontier. then i complete the evolution line of 1/72 transformable models/toys.
MechTech Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Everytime I look at this thread I keep thinking I'll have to buy the RVF-25. I like all the variants though! - MT
Knightwing Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 OK Are there any one who is going to be mad enough to buy VF-25F+ Ranka decal at this price? http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h126972646
bonizuka Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) OK Are there any one who is going to be mad enough to buy VF-25F+ Ranka decal at this price? http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h126972646 damn that's over pricing. Edited February 17, 2009 by bonizuka
edwin3060 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Well, it is really limited. I saw one go for 160 USD on ebay awhile back.
Knightwing Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Lasy month it was bid about 15000 Yen at Yahoo Japan Auction, so 20000 Yen price might be true in the future, may be this summer when Macross Frontier Movie coming out.
SDF-ONE Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Someone on Toysdaily has built a clear VF-25F with Sheryl decals. http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-87418-1-1.html He also shows the Ranka version.
CaptRico Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I got my VF-25S a few days ago, and I manges to get it into my favorite Valkyrie pose - the famous VF-2SS pose from the opening of Macross II But since I didn't have time to buy the display stand, I decided to build my own LEGO version that actually work well. Here's the pose: And here's pics of the custom stand I made: ..And now, some silly VF-25 randomness! -This is how Omaz-sama got kick off the squadron for playing pimp with two Meltran twins (played by Naga the White Serpent and one of her clones). And.. How the hell did an Alien chest-buster get into one of the shots?! - "YYYEEEEEEHHHAAAAA!!! Ride-em cowboy!" enjoy!
alfye Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Check this Japan Store and prices: http://74.125.79.101/translate_c?hl=es&...iNmYCYk1irIxVtA VF-25F + Sheryl Decals 3500yens RVF-25 4800yens VF-25G 3100yens ... I need a friend in Tokyo...
VFTF1 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 20500 Yen for the Ranka Decals isn't that bad. The exchange rate just makes it suck more than it otherwise would. I'd buy it, except for the fact that "it" really isn't much of anything beyond Kakizaki/Luca colors and two generic Ranka pictures/features that aren't very special... The VF-25 with Sheryl Decals looks really good. Fantastic. Beautiful. The Ranka one is ok. Pete
DarkReaper Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 You would pay over 200$ just for a Decal set?
Beltane70 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I'm finally getting a VF-25 model, Ozma's to be precise. I'm just wondering how long it'll take to get here via SAL. I can't wait to build it, nor can I wait to get the other versions!
protostar8 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I'm finally getting a VF-25 model, Ozma's to be precise. I'm just wondering how long it'll take to get here via SAL. I can't wait to build it, nor can I wait to get the other versions! 8 days to 30+ days. SAL ships based on when the boat is filled up. So if the boat is just starting to get packed, then you're in for a long wait. Also, you can't tell the boat's status, so it's just luck...
