Dangard Ace Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I've no idea what it is....and the guy who's using this as an avatar doesn't know.
bsu legato Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Bowling Hearts AX, the thrilling second season to last year's Bowling Hearts. Its your typical High school/romance/magical cat-girl/bowling/comedy.

bsu legato Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 gods above, the High school/romance/magical cat-girl/bowling/comedy is sooo overplayed. Agreed. They should really spend some time focusing on them battling the undead and/or ghosts as part time shinigamis. You know...to keep things fresh.
eugimon Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Agreed. They should really spend some time focusing on them battling the undead and/or ghosts as part time shinigamis. You know...to keep things fresh. Yeah, something new... like if they went to a ninja highschool... and maybe if the dorky goofie character was actually the most powerful of them all with a secret family heritage and an undiscovered destiny that will eventually make him the most admired person in his school/town.
bsu legato Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Yeah, something new... like if they went to a ninja highschool... and maybe if the dorky goofie character was actually the most powerful of them all with a secret family heritage and an undiscovered destiny that will eventually make him the most admired person in his school/town. Could that secret heritage perhaps involve a impossibly strong, nigh-invulnerable super robot that was built by his grandfather? I don't think anime has really ever explored that idea.

I don't think anime has really ever explored that idea. hmmm, maybe if it was an impossibly strong, nigh-invulnerable super robot that can't be piloted by professional soldiers but can only be piloted by the seemingly dorky goofie character who is actually the most powerful of them all with a secret family heritage and an undiscovered destiny that will eventually make him the most admired person in his school/town.
bsu legato Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Sounds perfect! All they need to do is to transport the setting into an alternate earth that's vaguely post-industrial revolution or early 20th century with two or more great city states in a perpetual cold war, in a kinda-sorta european hamlet.

All they need to do is to transport the setting into an alternate earth that's vaguely post-industrial revolution or early 20th century with two or more great city states in a perpetual cold war, in a kinda-sorta european hamlet. And there should be some sort of twist... like if the mysterious kindly ruler who invented a mysterious energy source was actually a mysterious evil ruler and the mysterious energy source was actually an evil mysterious energy source.
bsu legato Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 And there should be some sort of twist... like if the mysterious kindly ruler who invented a mysterious energy source was actually a mysterious evil ruler and the mysterious energy source was actually an evil mysterious energy source. I like your ideas and want to subscribe to your fan magazine! Perhaps they could add the additional twist of messing with the shows chronology! They could begin the show in the exact middle of the story, and then procede to tell the story simultaneously back towards the beginning and forewards to the conclusion.

They could begin the show in the exact middle of the story, and then procede to tell the story simultaneously back towards the beginning and forewards to the conclusion. But you would need a reason to do something like that, I know, what if the dorky goofie character who was actually the most powerful of them all with a secret family heritage and an undiscovered destiny that will eventually make him the most admired person in his school/town by piloting the impossibly strong, nigh-invulnerable super robot that was built by his grandfather lost his memory in a storm and washed up on some tropical island filled with natives who seemed antagonistic at first but turn out to be kind and teach him an even more powerful version of the ninja piloting arts that he already knows and that while learning these secret ninja arts that are taught at a highschool, he slowly regains his memories and we the viewers get to find out what he was doing out at sea in a storm and how it was he happened to wash up on a tropical island filled natives who seem antagonistic but turn out to be kind and that just also happens to be the home and secret underground laboratory of his grandfather who has been building the impossibly strong, nigh-invulnerable super robot just for him!
Dangaioh Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 We should ask a video company to locate shows, that resemble these posts and ask if they can mesh it into one giant anime. Ensuring that only one country would be allowed to view this convuluted (sp?) mess and have the rights to sell it's merchandise under that title, and not allow imports.
Dangard Ace Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 Bowling Hearts. I'm going to drop a bowling ball on your foot for that one.
bsu legato Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Bowling Hearts. I'm going to drop a bowling ball on your foot for that one. I thought you had a thing for magical cat-girls.
Dangard Ace Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 Super Robots. Magical Cat-girls are a bonus not a necessity. Granted your banter was funny but not what I was looking for.
Dangard Ace Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 Okay found it. The anime is called "They Are My Noble Masters" - Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de.
