Stemp Fester Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 I recently picked one of these up at a local toy-fair... haven't had a chance to tinker with it yet but just wanted to know if there were any issues with these that I should know about given Yamato's sometimes dodgy QC... This thing to be precise... Cheers Quote
jenius Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 If it's a fast pack version you're in the clear... if it's a non fast pack version they had prolific issues with the hips breaking... Often times brand new toys, never opened, already have broken hips in the package. Quote

Don't open it. Try to sell it for a dollar. If you open it - you WILL cry. Pete Quote

This thing to be precise... Cheers For now, keep it in the box, its definitely a collectors item. There is a new 1/60 scale version from Yamato in the works, but that may still be awhile from now. Til then, enjoy your VF-11B!!!! Quote
jenius Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Not to brag or anything... but I actually own a VF-11B that hasn't broken at the hips and it's been handled a LOT. Either that or it broke and got fixed so well I'll never know it was broken... Quote
AcroRay Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 I have one with hip repairs, which took a little effort but the repair is rock-solid and the thing a whole lot more fun because of it. Go ahead & open it! If the hip post are broken or the ball joints really tight, post here and we'll advise you! Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 (edited) Sell it now, save your money for the upcoming 1/60. Or buy the FP version off a seller who is trying to save for the upcoming 1/60 version and wants to 'upgrade'. I'm sure as money is tight people will sell stuff cheap to buy new better stuff which requires giving up older stuff to pay for it. Edited October 17, 2008 by 1/1 LowViz Lurker Quote
