mechaban Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 (edited) Sorry 'bout that. I didn't mean to sound elitist, but I guess I didn't realize how many people don't have this book. And if you don't, there isn't anywhere else you would see these images. So here's my contribution. Note the Pegus..I mean Megaroad/SDF-1 original design I always liked this proposed Destroid swapout. This would be a cool variant for the 1/60 version toy that just came out. :Edit for image blunders.: Edited October 6, 2008 by mechaban Quote
Kronnang Dunn Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 (edited) Hehehe... The image requested earlier (the 2 valks kissing) is in one of those scans dude. Thanks for sparing me the effort, hehe... Edited October 8, 2008 by Kronnang Dunn Quote
Sdf Prime Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Thank you Kronnang Dunn and mechaban for posting these early designs. I love seeing the early versions of characters and mecha. Hopefully one day I will be able to find a copy of Perfect Memory and I can see all the secrets within this book. Quote

sketchley Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Reviving sleeping topic... All this talk about the new Palladium Macross sourcebook has inspired me to break out Memory Perfect, make some scans, do some translating, and write some code. http://www.macrossroleplay.org/Sketchley/S...l/equipment.htm The titles are direct (or as near as possible, given that the original text is super, super, super small). Some of the names are funny. Sony, Victor and Sanyo = Suny, Vicor, and Yonyo? Timex = Timeyz??? Enjoy the early '80's technology outlook. http://www.macrossroleplay.org/Sketchley/S...rsonal/guns.htm Nothing that hasn't been seen before. Some new scans 'tis all. Enjoy the pictures. Quote
TheLoneWolf Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Suny SL009 F-11 Video System Robust TV screen, video player. Plays video discs, CD-R, DVD-R, BR, and video plates (pictured). Does the linart really say that this device plays CD-R's, DVD-R's, and BR? Quote
Roy Focker Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I think I remember the AR-21 having 70 rounds in the mini Macross guide book. Quote
Mr March Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 When I first purchased my MPM book years ago, I noticed the binoculars look like the VF-1J head unit I think the playable disc formats is supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek kinda thing. Which is cool Quote
sketchley Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Perhaps I should add: only the names are correct. Everything else isn't. The lineart says: "video plate". The SDF:M version of post laser disc technology. And Mr.March is correct. How many of the formats were available, let alone invented in 1982? Does the linart really say that this device plays CD-R's, DVD-R's, and BR? Quote
sketchley Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 70 rounds, eh? I thought that was one of those made up numbers. Ok. Modded it. I think I remember the AR-21 having 70 rounds in the mini Macross guide book. Quote
RedWolf Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Perhaps I should add: only the names are correct. Everything else isn't. The lineart says: "video plate". The SDF:M version of post laser disc technology. And Mr.March is correct. How many of the formats were available, let alone invented in 1982? Well the CD I believe became commercially available in 1982. But the technology has been around for decades. Quote
sketchley Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 1978. And as you'll notice in the lineart of the stereo, it actually does say "CD". Psst: I'm referring to the other formats. Quote

edwin3060 Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Its still pretty amazing that they predicted the name DVD-r and BR for Blue ray... unless maybe the engineers that developed this stuff are bigger Macross Fanboys than we ever could imagine? Quote
sketchley Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 To stave off further confusion, I've modified the two to indicate exactly what is canon (either direct translation, or as seen in the anime). Quote
