RedWolf
Something occurs to me that when there is a full Macross series there is at least one Orguss reference. 1. Macross episode 27 DVD the Orguss Valkyrie. 2. Macross 7 dinosaur thing on Lux. Now we haven't seen yet if the ring is connected to the surface but if it is there is the Orguss reference. The Dimension Eater is a Super Dimension Bomb that works without messing realities. Anything else?
ChrisG
Aside from the Orguss Valkyrie, I think you're stretching with the other ones. Dinosaurs on a planet isn't unique to Macross 7, and while those dinosaurs slightly resemble Jayviet, I don't think it's enough to count as a reference. Also, the dimension eater and the space/time oscillation bomb are entirely different things. The space/time oscillation bomb is designed to send things to other dimensions, and the dimension eater just destroys stuff.
Kronnang Dunn
You know... Being a recent super-fan of Orguss the first thing I thought when I watched the Vajra planetary ring closely is that it seems to root from the planet below... Got a very strong Space Elevator vibe last episode... Edited September 14, 2008 by Kronnang Dunn
