Marzan Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Anyone else notice that Sheryl's last name is Norm? You would have thought that with all the time and effort it must have taken to paint that baby, that the artist could have taken an extra 10 seconds to check online how to spell her name correctly. mrhillz Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 This one is a bit strange, but worth a listen if you like 80's metal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW7Kclc1UJk Quote
Marzan Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 "Ai oboete imasu ka" in an english language metal version. I've really heard it all now... Quote
Einherjar Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Not really sure. Warhammer 40,000 - Noise Marines Their trademark is the use of devastating sonic weaponry that confuses and demoralizes enemy forces in a wild show of “deafeningly loud, psycho-sonically and pyrotechnically explosive attacks”. Jefuemon Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 The first-ever Korean supercar, the 845bhp mid-engined de Macross Epique GT1 So, are they going to have to rename it the De Robotech for the ones they sell in America? Quote
EXO Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 So, are they going to have to rename it the De Robotech for the ones they sell in America? They'd have to combine it with a Kia and a Hyundai first to do that. And then say it's on a boat. Quote

Gubaba Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Nothing weird...just some great VF-19 cosplay. I'm not sure if an anime convention counts as "Macross in THE WEIRDEST PLACES." I'd kind of expect it, personally. Quote

anime52k8 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 We do still have a cosplay thread, but it hasn't been bumped in a while: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=582&hl=cosplay&st=980 Quote

frothymug Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Not sure if anyone pointed this out, nor does it really qualify as "Macross" in the weirdest places... Today, I watched that Futurama episode where they were reimagined as an anime show, and they used some music from Robotech at various points AND I suppose the image of the planet being bombarded by the invaders from orbit kinda meant something. I know... it's stretching it... Quote
soul.assassin Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 ^ Sounds real interesting... What episode? Quote
frothymug Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 ^ Sounds real interesting... What episode? I think it was season 6, episode 13. It's the one where they are reimagined as a 20's-era cartoon and as an 8-bit video game... then as an anime show. Quote
Keith Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I think it was season 6, episode 13. It's the one where they are reimagined as a 20's-era cartoon and as an 8-bit video game... then as an anime show. The episode title was "Reincarnation." while talking about american cartoons, Home Movies season 3 episode 6 "Rennaisance" had a fight between ren fair geeks & sci-fi con geeks that had a quick shot of a VF-1 in gerwalk. Hikuro Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I was taking photos for work, and one of the files I had to do contained an aftermarket ipod interface owners manual for Honda and Acura vehicles. I think we can all agree on who that girl in the middle is. Quote
