Need help with 1/48 Valk and Yamato stand

I purchased the Black yamato macross stand to display my 1/48 valk. Its the stand which comes with a bunch of "clips" for different models and variants. I attached the prescribed clip for the 1/48 and started to display it in plane mode (my favorite, although most boring mode :-X) I noticed though that i couldn't mount the rifle in-between the hands at the rear, because the clip for the stand gets in the way! This rifle is one of the most important, if not THE most compelling item in plane mode! Has anyone with the same stand gotten around this? Am i missing something? The instructions are in Japanese, so I could only go by the few pictures that came with it. thanks in advance for any help.

yup

makes you wonder what these guys at Yamato were thinking when they design it <_<

Its a downright limited, clumsy and stupid stand.

Time for a version 2 Valk stand, Yamato.

dude, don't waste your money on it, 30+ for a limited piece of plastic that can't hold the valk right

get the clear stands most of us have from Lost and Found Toys, they really are the best and if you're clever enough you can get some sick poses out of it

Or you can get the Gundam 1/100 scale stands as well, There are pics here on MW that show them holding ALL scales sizes of Yamato Valk's. I have these stands for my 1/72 scale models and they work perfectly!! Plus they are cheap.

However if you can wait till October 08, The store Lost & Founds toys will have there Flexi-stands back in, those are really cool and work the BEST!!!
