areaseven Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I was gonna say Minesweeper, but that's already been done. Quote
JB0 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 FINAL FANTASY SEVEN LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!1111111111111111111111 Seriously... I think they COULD make a great Metroid movie. I also think they WON'T make a great Metroid movie. And to be mildly creative... Maybe the 90s Battlezone game? You know, the RTS/FPS hybrid? America VS the Commies IN SPACE! WITH HOVERTANKS! How is that NOT a recipe for complete awesome? Quote

ruskiiVFaussie Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Thunder Force 4. I want a proper shoot em up carnage game. Streets of Rage? GUNSTAR HEROES! Quote
JsARCLIGHT Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Metal Gear Solid. That's already a painfully bad movie... they just stuck pieces of a game in it. Quote
eriku Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I've always thought The Legend of Zelda would make a fun movie. Quote
Radd Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I think JBO's observation applies to pretty much any game you can think of. There's potential to turn most any videogame into a good movie. Unfortunately, in the current movie industry culture it is highly unlikely to happen. Even anime versions of videogames tend to be on the poor side. I think an animated Metal Slug could be a blast (pun intended). Though I hear Japanese audiences tend to react poorly to the kind of dark humour I suspect a good Metal Slug movie would require. Quote

VF-19 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I think Homeworld could be made into a good trilogy. Oh wait... We have Battlestar Galactica for that... Quote

SeminNV Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 (edited) My life!)) This game deserves to be a movie I would like to watch Mechwarrior series one day Edited September 5, 2008 by SeminNV Quote
promethuem5 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Mechwarrior could be alot of fun, and I'd love to see some Castlevania movies... well choreographed with alot of whip-play (and sword play for the inevitable SOTN) and some seriously well done high-gothic costume and set work could make it some serious fun. Quote
Macross007 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Mass Effect. Splinter Cell. I second that. Quote
Radd Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Actually, a Castlevania movie is apparently on the way, courtesy of (sound of dreams being crushed) Paul Anderson, of AvP fame! I hear there's also an animated Castlevania in the works, though I believe it's a related project. I hear Warren Ellis was writing that one. Quote
eriku Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 (edited) , you say? The movie contained in my link is much better. Edited September 5, 2008 by eriku Quote

David Hingtgen Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Gott mention Mass Effect again. And the casting's already done for half the characters. I dare anyone to find a better Shepard: Quote
Agent ONE Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Duke Nukem. Good man.. I thought you were kind of retarded, but you DO see the light. Awesome. I think they should make a Duke Nukem movie (staring me or possibly Chuck Lidell or really crazy with Markus Ruhl), then after the movie, they should stop making movies forever.. There is no better script that could ever be made to a movie ever. Quote
