kanedaestes Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Great pics man, I need to take new photos, my collection has grown extensively since last I posted pics
yellowlightman Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 (edited) Here are some pics of my small collection for all the wankers to quote. Nice! Edited March 6, 2009 by yellowlightman
DarkReaper Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 LOL! Thanks, but my pen has never touched the YF-21. It's like that out of the box. What? Yamato never released a pre-panel lined standard S. The only things panel lined were the weathered editions as far as I know.
areaseven Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 What? Yamato never released a pre-panel lined standard S. The only things panel lined were the weathered editions as far as I know. We were talking about the Revoltech YF-21, NOT the Yamato VF-1S.
hui Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 We were talking about the Revoltech YF-21, NOT the Yamato VF-1S. LOL! Sorry for the confusion...my bad. Actually I'm referring to the Yamato 1/60 YF-19 in fighter mode... Always mixing up YF-19 and YF-21
areaseven Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 The Revy YF-21 doesn't even have panel-lines. Actually, yes it does. Mainly on the back and FAST Packs. LOL! Sorry for the confusion...my bad. Actually I'm referring to the Yamato 1/60 YF-19 in fighter mode... Always mixing up YF-19 and YF-21 Oh, okay. I used a Sakura Pigma 0.1 pen on the VF-1S. When I first posted pics of it with the panel lines drawn, someone had told me that the lines were too pronounced. Another person said the dark lines give it a more anime-like look. So for the YF-19, I used a Staedtler 0.5 mechanical pencil for the panel lines.

areaseven Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Is it me or is your Yamato YF-19 (both the 1/72 and 1/60) suffering from some paint chipping/ruboff? The 1/72 has seen better days. It's got paint chips mainly at the tabs, which really isn't a big deal. The kite emblem on the 1/60 is just losing its adhesion, so I'll fix that sometime soon.
m0n5t3r Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 as of spring 2008 or so yeah, i remember those pics... first time i felt "inggit"!
Vegas Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 thanks eugimon and monster. that was a year ago and ive really slowed down in collecting, i should be the one envying you guys....i dont the have the newest 1/60's yet.
sidearmsalpha Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Cool displays, Vegas! You don't get antsy about having stuff up that high and falling down?! I had some stuff up on a 6 foot shelf last year, but after we had a quake, my 1/60 YF-19 and VF-1J with Urban Camo Armor took a dive. Luckily, neither broke, but the Urban Camo Armor did get scuffed a bit. I don't put stuff up that high anymore. I'm hoping to get some Detolfs or some other suitable display cases soon, so at least there's a door in front of my stuff to keep them from falling out and onto the floor.

honkhet Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 wow vegas, ur collection is probably what defines nirvana for a macross fan... a bit off topic, been seeing alot of yf-19 pics, inverted wings 'n all, yf-19/vf-19 its really a beauty of a mecha... but its a real shame that the main characters that piloted it were idiots (referring to isamu and basara) its the main thing that deterred me from buying a yf-19
ff95gj Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 as of spring 2008 or so What a sight! I wish I have space to display my VFs too...
Vegas Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Look cool but dust may be problm... yes....i make an effort to clean the room regularly
Javabean Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Me too hv to dust them every weekend. Think I will try to take some shot of my shelve, though its a only small one.
