Bri Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Finally got some time to work on a few kits that I had saved but never got round to do. First up is a Hasegawa VF-1A DYRL "Max" I bought a few years back. It's partially prepped and primed but I ran into some problems with selecting paints. My painting experience comes from figures and miniatures. My paint collection is build up from the gaming lines from Vallejo and Citadel and have trouble finding a propper conversion table that matches the Sangyo acrylics to the Vallejo/Citadel ones. I plan to go with the Hasegawa guides paint scheme for the most part except adding a few details here and there. I hope I can mix the colors to mimic the Sangyo colors. Doe the anyone have experience in that area or knows of a reliable Sangyo acrylics chart? Quote
Clay Cliff Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Here you have a color equivalence chart: http://usuarios.lycos.es/colores_maquetas/Colores.html (B) means "Gloss", (M) means "Matt", (S) means "Semigloss" or "Satin" and (M) means "Metallic"... Hope this helps. Quote
big F Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Thats the one I have been using for a while, works 99% of the time, but you can always fall back on the old Mk1 eyeball. Quote
