Save Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Today at Wonder Fest CM's showed a new DYRL Minmay Attack Figure. Since I had a dealer pass I had to respect the no photo sign. I even asked and they said no. Figure is not the same scale of the Macross Collections looks about an inch or so taller. That's pretty much all I could find out. I'm sure a pick will leak soon. Quote
boota Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Yay more figs from CMs! Um, could you describe a little how this DYRL Minmay Attack figure look like? Cuz I don't think I remember any Minmay Attacks in the Movie... Unless you meant the shower scene Minmay! Quote
crasis Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Okay, I love Minmay. I have every previous CM's figure of her. That said, it's time to move on, guys!!! There are SO many other characters they have neglected. Where's Global? Claudia? Breetai? Exedol? Kamjin? Guld? Myung? Gamlin? Ray? Shin? I could go on and on. Quote
EXO Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Oh man... thanks for the tease save... You couldn't just grab some Otaku next to you, shove him your camera and slap him upside the back of the head and screamed "take the picture bitch!" on second thought he woulda just peed himself and fainted... I'll wait for the pics. Quote
Sumdumgai Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Yeah the otaku probably would have peed himself and fainted. Or run off with the camera so he has extra pictures. I'm interested in seeing eventual pics. Quote
miriya Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 This is exciting news. I have been hoping CMS come out with another line of macross figures for some time now. I agree that they need to move on from minmei. I want CMS to do Laplamiz, Quamjin (Kamjin?), Global, Claudia, Misa in SDFM flightsuit, and Milia in Zentraedi Flightsuit. That would be sweet. Of course it would be best if they did a series of all the macross women in flightsuits as mentioned earlier somewhere. Quote
Fly4victory Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Great news that CM's making Macross figures again. Sure that the larger figure looks good but am disappointed it will not be the same size as the older ones. Swapping parts is part of the fun. Quote
miriya Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Global and Laplamiz have never been done before ever by anyone so it would be great if someone (CMS) would finally do this. Oh, wait, did matchbox do a global? Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Alllllll right!!! Thanks for the heads up Save! Hope there will be reason to buy a box. I want another Hikaru figure, (the flight suit one i got was a knockoff and sucks). New Misa figure would be awesome! And of course Global to go with my 1/5000 SDF-1... Quote
Sumdumgai Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 While it would be awesome if CM's corporation made Macross Frontier figures, I kind of doubt that they will since Bandai has Frontier. And I've liked very few of Bandai's trading figures (some exceptions to that). Quote
DrunkenMaster2 Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Any pics yet? Can't wait to see what they look like. Quote
UN Spacy Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Where are the folks that don't respect the no photo sign? Quote
pochimus prime Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 looks great how much do these usually cost? Quote

pochimus prime Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 SOLD! Poch - http://www.hlj.com/product/CMS65006 and recently - http://www.hlj.com/product/CMS65081 gak! i didn't realize that they were that pricey it'll eat up my budget for the 1A :( Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 (edited) Save was there any others shown? This Minmay is one of the best renditions of her i have seen, that's all the statues made of her included! Edited August 7, 2008 by ruskiiVFaussie Quote
Save Posted August 7, 2008 Author Posted August 7, 2008 Save was there any others shown? This Minmay is one of the best renditions of her i have seen, that's all the statues made of her included! That was the only Macross item at CM's booth. Quote
DrunkenMaster2 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 (edited) WOW now that's a cool minmay figure!!! Like the face, finally a figure that looks like she's singing. Edited August 7, 2008 by DrunkenMaster2 Quote
boota Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Aw, not shower scene Minmay. This one doesn't say "ATTACK" enough. Quote
EXO Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Wow, how many of that pose are sculptors going to do? I don't think it's going to be similarly priced as the figure collection as Save already said it wasn't to scale. And this one doesn't look like it comes apart like their usual Macross figures. Wasn't there already a CM figure similar to this that was limited in number? It went for like $60 or something. Here it is... http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?show...c=8217&st=0 oh it was Wave that released it. Quote
Kicker773 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 (edited) ok nevamind Edited August 7, 2008 by Kicker773 Quote
bigkid24 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Looks okay but it doesn't seem Minmay enough to me. Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 The wave one is nice, prefer this one much better, legs are more in action. Quote
KiriK Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 yea... i'm meh about the figure... especially if its going to cost more... =P Quote
sharky Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Looks good. Similar to the one in the previous Minmay figure collection, but a much better sculpt and colors IMO. I am a bit surprised that they are not first doing Frontier characters. Quote
baronv Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Should've made it from SDF:Macross in her green polka dot dress. Quote
Graham Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I am a bit surprised that they are not first doing Frontier characters. That's because Bandai has the exclusive toy and model license for Frontier. And before people start saying "but what about the Klan Klan figure by Megahouse". Remember, Megahouse is owned by Bandai. Graham Quote
Macross1982 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Any more news about any more Cm's Toys?? Quote
