Valkyrie Nut Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 Anyone played Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie? I tried it via a SNES emulator and found it quite addictive Quote
DEATH Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 yea dude i played it and it was hard i played as max(sorry if i use the robotech names cause i have truble spelling the origonal macross names) and he was almost too easy but that gaug you have to fight its prity tough...i only got the the third level before bombing out some of that game was hardly macross Quote
Valkyrie Nut Posted August 21, 2003 Author Posted August 21, 2003 yeah i found it tough too but eventually managed to finish the game after something like 10 attempts. the final boss isnt very macross at all Quote
Hybridchild Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 Where'd you get it from? cause ive been looking for it for ages Hybridchild Quote
Valkyrie Nut Posted August 21, 2003 Author Posted August 21, 2003 Unfortunately its been a long time since i had the ROM and i cant remember where i got it from Quote
bob joe mac Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 last boss not macross? he was virtually DYRL Bodolza. Some things werent very macrossy but you know if it was macrossy you have that NES macross where every mission you fly and shoot up huundreds of regults and glaugs and Q-raus EVERY mission. Quote
Black_Viper Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 This game is just down right fun. For those of you that don't have it you can download it here Macross Scrambled Valkyries Quote
Abombz!! Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 last boss not macross? he was virtually DYRL Bodolza. Some things werent very macrossy but you know if it was macrossy you have that NES macross where every mission you fly and shoot up huundreds of regults and glaugs and Q-raus EVERY mission. I think he was refering to the floating baby.... that is not Bodolza. Quote
mikeszekely Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 Max made it too cheap, what with the homing missiles in Battroid mode. I used Hikaru. The laser he uses in Fighter mode is powerful without being too cheap. Quote
Hybridchild Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 This game is just down right fun.For those of you that don't have it you can download it here Macross Scrambled Valkyries Cool thanks mate Hybridchild Quote
Druna Skass Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 That was one of two Macross games I've played that hasn't pissed me off one form or another. I always used Millia, raw firepower with the Meltran. Quote
Hybridchild Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 Ive played a bit of it it seems like alot of fun Hybridchild Quote
Valkyrie Nut Posted August 21, 2003 Author Posted August 21, 2003 Yes Abombz I was refering to the baby. That part was plain weird o.O Quote
Valkyrie Nut Posted August 21, 2003 Author Posted August 21, 2003 the first of the final bosses is a baby in some sort of glass chamber Quote
yellowlightman Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 It's a fun game, but I really prefer the Macross II shooter for the arcade. It's a lot harder, but I found it more fun. Quote

UN Spacy Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 This game is just down right fun.For those of you that don't have it you can download it here Macross Scrambled Valkyries Do I need MAME for this? What are some good SUPER NES emulators? Quote

UN Spacy Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 Znes is the best SNES emulator. Do you have a link where I can find the ZNES emulator? Or a bundle pack that has tons of SNES game AND the ZNES? Quote

Aegis! Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Mate , this game is great , IMO the most solid macross game ever released. Fun , good graphics , good 2D shoot-em-up structure. If only they would release it for GBA now that everyone is releasing SNES games on the portable. Quote
Bub Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 I agree. Great game. But I think of it as a glorified version of the NES Macross Game. Which I also enjoyed during its time. simple but ROCKS! 2D side scolling game for me would be the Arcade Game. Quote
JB0 Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 (edited) I prefer the NES game. ... I just need a hacked emualtor that plays a Shao Pai Lon MP3 instead of the NES rendition. And it's zSnes. Geez, people... Edited August 27, 2003 by JB0 Quote
Bub Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 You guys haven't tried Snes9x? This is the emulator I use. Easy to use and I think is the best out there. Try it. Quote
JB0 Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 You guys haven't tried Snes9x? This is the emulator I use. Easy to use and I think is the best out there. Try it. I've used both. Ease of use is similar, and ZSNES is FAR superior in terms of emulation accuracy. Especially sound. I'll use it once a new sound core is implemented. Quote
