GutsAndCasca Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 So I graduate May 2nd. I immediately get to work finding a job I can physically do since I crushed my spine 3 years ago. I head to Arizona, Phoenix to be exact, and spend a month and a half looking for a job with no results, but I did get to spend two weeks at a clinic to help my back. In the mean time, my wife moves us into her parents' mansion about 30 miles down the highway. I get back and find out after sugery, physical therapy, pain meds all day every day of my life just to walk, that she has decided she is never working again, and that I am just "pretending" that my ruptured and herniated discs and arthritis are hurting me. I leave, obviously. Her rich-girl syndrome has finally taken over her sanity completely. She says she is keeping all of my things. I can't do anything. I can't go GET my stuff, I'd get escorted off her parent's chateau by the police. Legally, can't do anything there. I don't have unlimited funding for a lawyer. She is keeping (probably selling) my things because she knows that well, that I sort of LIKE them. So, here is my public FAREWELL to my: Yamato: custom 1/48th Minmay Guard version 1, which I spent weeks perfecting. custom 1/48th Minmay Guard version 2 with fastpack. Took even longer than the version 1. Can't buy decals to make them anymore. stealth 1/48th 1J with fastpack 1/48th Miria w/fast pack 1/48th Max w/fast pack 1/48th Roy w/fast pack 1/48 Hikaru 1J 1/48 Kakizake 1/48 Hikaru 1S w/fast pack 1/48 custom Max 1S 1/48 black VF1S commemorative anniversary edition 1/48 max TV edition VF1A custom 1/60th VF0A 1/60th VF0S 1/60 YF-19 (especially hurts; my last name is Dyson) 1/60 custom Max 1S 1/60 Roy 1/60 Max 1/60 VF1A CF 1/60 VF1A Toysrus Edition (in box) 1/60 Hikaru VF1A 1/60 Max VF1A 1/60 VF1D Toynami: Each and every single super-poseable ever made. Yep, I had every, single, one. Even the comic-con Hikaru. All of the 1/100's, including the comic-con Hikaru. The entire Robotech Masterpiece Collection. Revoltech - Every Macross item they've made. I had even just gotten the battlepod in the mail when I was in Phoenix... never got to open it and see what it looks like. Banpresto - An army of these things Tons of various gashapons, and valuable and sentimental Macross collectables. Every Macross/Robotech DVD/collection they've ever put out. You will all be sorely missed. I've loved Macross since I was a child. Age 29. 'Nothing to my name but some clothing, a beat-up car, a computer, and not even a job until my spine has healed enough for me to find something. Be careful who you marry, and avoid women with rich parents. Take good care of your back; once your health is gone and you can't work a regular 9-5... well. It was fun while it lasted. Good bye, ex-fellow collectors.
MacrossMan Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Man that's just jacked up! If I knew she was selling them I wouldn't accept a single one for free; well, I would only to return it to you. Damn bro. Keep your head up. No matter how bad it seems we have it, there is always someone else who would rather be our shoes....damn! OO

Worst thing a woman can see is a ex happier than her.
robotechdave Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 All may not be lost brother - Do you have any evidence of your ownership of the toys? pictures etc? Did you buy them before the marriage or during? Let me tell you about a story a friend told me. He said someone he knew was getting a divorce. The judge was particulary tough on him apparently. You know what he did? He was able to sneak a gun into court and shot at the judge (missed) and now he is in prison forever. Don't let this chick get the best of you. Do your best not to let her mentally agitate you because this is a prison of the worst kind - the prison where your mind is held hostage by a belligerent biyatch. The world unfortunately doesn't go 100% the way we want it unfortunately...all you can do is manage what is happening within you and your mind...at least this much should happen the way you want it...everything external can be fleeting. Robotech/Macross toy collecting is fun, no doubt; When I had to sell some of my favorite toys, I was not a happy camper...but I bounced back and now I am buying some more stuff again. I guess you could dress up in a ninja outfit and stealthily retrieve your toys assuming there are no guard dogs or security measures on the premisis...taking the risk that you would get caught and arrested (probably not the best choice). Or, you could just talk to her and just tell her you'd like your toys back and say that if you get your toys back, you'll work with her in a diplomatic way through the divorce process (of course whether you want to honor that agreement or not doesn't really matter when you get your toys back in your hands Whatever she does, let it roll off your back bro...don't give the biyatch the power. She took your toys because she thinks that will give her power over you. I really wish you the best bro. I hope you get your toys back.
Ratchet Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 (edited) Cry me a river. You lost some toys...who cares?! Look at the bright side - You're still alive and can still enjoy a venti latte @ Starbucks. Would you rather be in Iraq or Afghanistan? Would you rather be in jail? STFU. Edited July 18, 2008 by Ratchet
eugimon Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 man, that's horrible to hear. I wish you the best of luck.
Ghadrack Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Cry me a river. You lost some toys...who cares?! Look at the bright side - You're still alive and can still enjoy a venti latte @ Starbucks. Would you rather be in Iraq or Afghanistan? Would you rather be in jail? STFU. Jesus..... WTF man? Anyhow, on topic. Unless there is a formalized divorce agreement by law she can't hold possession of your stuff if you bought it. Escorted off the porperty or not you are entitled to your personal posessions until the law tells you otherwise. If I were you, I'd call her parents, the homeowners and express your interest in some of your personal posessions. If tehy tell you to F.O. I'd call adn report my poo stolen, if you have receipts or proof of ownership and they have your poperty that isn't right. Chceck your computer for proof of your purchases. Now if the rich girl bought all that poo for you, cut your losses and move on.
do not disturb Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 whaaaat! this can't be? keep your head up my man.
badboy00z Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Should've gotten a prenup. Never should've gotten married in the first place.
Ignacio Ocamica Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I feel your pain Be cool and try to stay positive!!! You'll eventually recover all your material belongings, you'll be able to buy them again, trust me Better end the relationship now if she's a spoiled b i t c h!!!
nukatsuka Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I agree...wtf. Who are you to write that kind of message. Are you in Afghanistan or Iraq right now? Somehow fighting the war and posting messages about toys? Dude you are way off writing that message. Sometimes I think the wrong people get poo on. Cry me a river. You lost some toys...who cares?! Look at the bright side - You're still alive and can still enjoy a venti latte @ Starbucks. Would you rather be in Iraq or Afghanistan? Would you rather be in jail? STFU.

Would you rather be in Iraq or Afghanistan? Would you rather be in jail? STFU. Wow. You're an idiot. Guts: All is not lost yet. Maybe we can figure this one out. Did you call the police? Can they help? I think there are laws where you can't just kick someone out without some sort of eviction, even if you're not paying rent. I'd at least call the police and see if they can help.
Ghostkiller Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 sorry to hear that and if you did pay for it go and get your stuff if they sell it and you did pay for it you can take them to court and poo on them
sqidd Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Do you know what the average cost of a contract killing is in the USA? $356 It's amazing it's that low isn't it. And that's the average. I am thinking somewhere someone is standing on the corner of Crack & Eight Ball and would do it for $100 Not that this information has anything to do with your current situation.

Valkyrie addict Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 actually I think if there was no prenup signed, then after the divorce you are entitle to 50/50 of the possession you had when married man, sucks that the bitch didn't understand what you were going trough, I know that getting back with your life after having 3 vertebrae crushed, I think her family must had something with her considering you were goldigging her, maybe she didn't even love you, you're better off man, and the valks may be gone but I'm sure you can pick up, if you have enough willpower and devotion you can overcome your physical defect and pick yourself off that dumb bitch will always be that and will end up bitter and alone or with some kfed sucking up her money
dizman Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Wow thats tough, a friend of a buddy of mine went through the same thing.... kinda. He is a carpenter and while on the job he fell off a ladder and put quite the hurting on his back or something to that extent. He couldnt walk so his girl friend had to take care of him. Well she put him upstairs and took care of him, feeding him everyday and the such but while that was happening she started selling the stuff in his house including around 5,000 to 10,000 dollars worth of tools and equipment. When the carpenter finally was able to walk he was sure suprised. Time for some motivational words, as long as you can move around Guts don't give up, don't let anyone sell what you have worked on collecting and customizing a fairly good chunk of your life. Like gahdrack said if you can't get it back by asking the parents report the stuff stolen and provide some pictures (hopefully you have some).

EXO Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I'm banning Ratchet for being an a-hole... that's right. I personally insulted a member... oh wait... he won't be a member anymore after I ban him. So I absolve myself from almost breaking that rule. If you need a more official reason it's because he's always trying to make the conversation into a political one. Plus many more reasons and I have personal issues I have to deal with... Alcohol... here I come!
