TheLoneWolf Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I will have to dig up some pics of it if any one wants to see it. That would be awesome, especially since your old photos have been lost along with the old forum.
Sumdumgai Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I haven't purchased a VF-1 1/60 v.2 yet, so I am out of the loop a bit... Are we having the VF-0 effect again!!?? Come on Yamato get this VF-1D right, No more SNAFU's!!! Not quite the same. The folding joint that folds the shoulder area out in gerwalk and battroid, that has been suffering from cracks on the VF-1S. Dunno about the VF-1A yet, but I haven't heard any mentions of cracks on that one from the times I pop in the 1/60 V2 threads.
miriya Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I regret to say that my "hunch" was bogus. Sorry kids.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Hey no one said using your physchick powers to hurry up a release date or info was a bad thing. >=P
Mechinyun Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Until I had seen the comparison pix I was blissfully unaware of the major differences between the line art and the new 1/60, now every time I look at it it hits me right in the face. Ill still get it as battroid still looks awesome, but quite a bit disappointed as fighter is my favorite mode. PS. VF-1D totally owns the VT-1, namely the D's head is one of my favorite heads in macross, the VT's = weaksauce.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Only the head. The VT-1 is nothing more than a pleasure valk for jetting around and getting caught in. can't say i will ever change my VT-1 v.2 into battroid, gerwalk and fighter only.
miriya Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Well looks like we may get a longer nosecone afterall... 03. > 03. miriya Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 also new is this... http://www.yamato-toys.com/event/200810/in...ml?mmlnk=081015
miriya Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Seems that they will be releasing v.2 1/60 TV type super parts as a seperate item. That is good news.
EXO Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 I'm so glad they're coming out with this... I hope it's sets a trend of releasing the little seen valks in toy form... Elint, Ostrich, Max and Kakizaki TV-1As... and none of that exclusive crap!!! please...
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Right on! All this Bandai/Yamato bashing and exclusive rights might account from something in regards to yamato listening to fans more. Atleast i hope so.
nightmareB4macross Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Damn, that's crammed! Minmei looks as if she's in fetal position. It just could be that she was startled by the Q-Rau in the background. I am totally passing on this.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) You gotta wait to see if they will improve it overall with the longer nose though. Reckon you or a friend might be able to do us a 1/48 scaled Minmay? I think i do remember you saying you don't do figs though. *can't remember* And hows it all going btw man? nightmareB4macross Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) You gotta wait to see if they will improve it overall with the longer nose though. Making the nose or cockpit longer will not correct the issue. It's the chestplate and the rear of the cockpit that needs to be revised. Reckon you or a friend might be able to do us a 1/48 scaled Minmay? I'm hoping, a certain someone, is still willing to take this on. I think i do remember you saying you don't do figs though. *can't remember* Nope. I don't touch the stuff. *sniff* And hows it all going btw man? Just waiting for December. I have too many work related tasks on my plate, at this time. Edited October 20, 2008 by nightmareB4macross
505thAirborne Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Say what you want, but that cockpit is way to cramped!! Transformation or budget purposes, its still to tight. Although I agree with you ruskiiVFaussie, Gonna have to wait & see if they make any final adjustments, I really hope they do. This and the VF-11B are the two I am really waiting too buy $$. And now we play the waiting game.......
Javabean Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 also new is this... http://www.yamato-toys.com/event/200810/in...ml?mmlnk=081015 What's new in there? Anyone can translate them. Thought I saw "OD版" which is it refering to VF-OD?
Renato Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 What's new in there? Anyone can translate them. Thought I saw "OD版" which is it refering to VF-OD? Nah, that's the green repaint of the Destroid Tomahawk. I guess 'cos it OD'd on LSD, or something.
Spiff Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 So took a couple of comparison pics. Yamato vf-1d and my custom vf-1d. Birds are the same over all length, cockpit extends further into valk to accomodate additional pilot. The way it should be.
TheLoneWolf Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 That's a slick VF-1D canopy! Bravo, Spiff. By the way, do you have any profile shots? They would be a very welcome addition to the Gallery.
miriya Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 That custom is very nice. Where did you get the pilots? I would like one if you have any extras.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 aren't they the 1/48 uber expensive kit pilots? And that's John's 2 seater kit isn't it? It's some awesome.
505thAirborne Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Anyone can see those are the older Version 1 1/60 scales!! If you want to compare a 1/48 version of the VF-1D, Macrossman has one in his gallery pictures.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 (edited) whoops lol didn't pay attention to the first pic, only second. rum ah yes... Edited October 24, 2008 by ruskiiVFaussie
Dashgtr Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 (edited) Pips from Yamato Site enjoy Edited November 7, 2008 by Dashgtr
ron5864 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 I don't see the figures that goes with this VF-1D. I hope it comes with Hikau (in orange flight suit) and Minmei as seen in previous photos.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 so have the made the nose longer or any type of change? I don't have the old pics handy to compare...
Javabean Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 I think the nose looks pretty much the same as previous pics we saw. Those missiles cud look better with more accurate TV anime colour.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 I really hope that the darker shoulders means the hinge is going to be made from near indestructible material.
SuperHobo Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Yeah indestructible material that should be called simple light weight but tough solid COLD METAL!!!! Plastic hinge? Screw that!
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Yeah indestructible material that should be called simple light weight but tough solid COLD METAL!!!! Plastic hinge? Screw that! At the very least POM, but preferably? TITANIUM. It helped Lt. Dan walk again and it can prevent the VF-1D from becoming "anime accurate" if you guys know what I mean.
VFTF1 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 That is soooo sweeet I can't wait! When is the going to come out?? It looks like this thing will follow on the footsteps of the VF-1J Hikaru, yes? So Max will be way later? But this is really nice to see. When? Pete
