Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 This is the definitive version of the VT-1, we have been waiting 25 years for. Awesome, Awesome, beautiful toy!How durable/sturdy is it? If it's like the recent 1/60 releases I will be one happy camper. Looks great! Have a feeling the VE-1 will be the most liked this year though.
eugimon Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 weird... why does it come with posed gun hands? dunno but now we have something to recast and fit onto the GBP armor.
Ignacio Ocamica Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 dunno but now we have something to recast and fit onto the GBP armor. We got the same fixed mechanical hands with the other DYRL? releases. They're not new fixed pose hands From the photozoomed pics from yamato's website it seems that the male peg connector for the bigger TV style hands is removable. I guess we won't have to modify the arm armor to accomodate the current mechanical fixed hands.

I'm too lazy to do hand swaps so I just stick with the posable hands. Good news about the pegging system though. I can't wait to get this guy, just waiting on bigkid and his group buy. Sucks about the timing, I was in southern california this weekend so it would have been nice to swing by and just pick it and have something to play with on the drive back home.
Graham Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Hi Guys, Here's a few quick photos of the new 1/60 VT-1 I snapped this morning. To be honest, I haven't transformed it yet, as it looks so good in fighter mode. No weapons included, but it does have hard points on the wings if you want to attach missiles. Graham
jenius Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 The armor looks a little naked (could use some sort of markings) but otherwise she's a beaut
vanpang Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Oh dear I can hear my poor wallet crying again
sidearmsalpha Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Yeah, that sure is purty, but my wallet already exploded. Hopefully, I can pick up some OT in the next few months to get this and the VE-1.

Vi-RS Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 beautifully scuplted, can't wait to get mine from OD.
Dangard Ace Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 My SuperO shipped from OD this morning.
Ivan Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Saw it in Hong Kong today. I love how small the box is.
Ignacio Ocamica Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 My SuperO shipped from OD this morning. Mine shipped too, now the waiting game begins!!!
Agent-GHQ Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Saw it in Hong Kong today. I love how small the box is.Is it about the size of a stand alone VF-1 box?
Vi-RS Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Is it about the size of a stand alone VF-1 box? It gotta be, from the pictures on previous page, Yamato manages to squeeze everything in on tray which is a good thing. They should have done that for Super pack from previous release.
Ivan Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Is it about the size of a stand alone VF-1 box? Yes, it is just a bit thicker than the stand alone box. In retrospect, the box for version 1 was really ridiculous.
MacrossMan Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I'm hoping some of those 1/60 waterslide decals I got can be put to use to help dress this beauty up. Damn that's nice!
Dangard Ace Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Damn. That 1D head on the VT body looks awesome!
Vi-RS Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 2nd batch - with a VF-1D head at the end haha.... I heard someone screaming for senpai..... senpai............
valhary Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 the fast pack is compatible with the others vf 1????
BoBe-Patt Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 the fast pack is compatible with the others vf 1???? It might be, but all he did was swap heads. So in the last few pix, it's a 1D head on a Super O body.
logos Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 (edited) Anybody know of a cheaper place to purchase it from other than Over Drive? The price at $144.99 US is the cheapest I could find but the $39.99 US shipping is awful. Edited September 1, 2009 by logos

The price at $144.99 US is the cheapest I could find but the $39.99 US shipping is awful. Especially considering that many are saying the box is somewhat smaller than previous v2 releases.
MacrossMan Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Damn. That 1D head on the VT body looks awesome! Aint that the truth! Steep shipping be damned; I've got to have this for my collection!

sidearmsalpha Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I thought the head is supposed to have a collar piece around the neck like the V.1 does. You can see it here on the Hasegawa model kit art. I don't see it on the V.2.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Looks beautiful even with no armor attachments, and the 1D head suprisingly looks great on it.
ff95gj Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 the fast pack is compatible with the others vf 1???? The VT-1 has a rather different backpack... So I am unsure about the boosters. (the leg armors are the same obviously) It will hang on there, but one may not be able to lock it properly. Will try tonight!
sidearmsalpha Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Hey guys, did Yamato have to reduce the size of the tailfins on this version and the first version so that the backpack sits lower on the back with the boosters on, or is that accurate to the lineart? I found one picture of lineart that shows the tailfins at normal size. I tried to insert the picture for the lineart also, but it won't attach. So here is the link: http://www.new-un-spacy.com/macrossdyrl/vt...t-1-fighter.gif
