Oh god I just bought the 1/48 VF-1A Angel Birds ver.

I gotta get one of those one of these days, I didn't really like at first but it really grew on me as an awesome looking fighter(something different the the F14 look-alikes).

I'm guessing they're as much as the YF-19 simply because of the number of parts in them right?

Type in macross in the quick search, they are up for sale special price (tan cannon fodder SV-51) and they haven't any QC issues, pretty much perfect.

One of the tightest 1/48 releases ever, i would go right ahead if i was you. I've got 2. afaik there has only been 1 release of angel birds.

I wasn't a fan of the color scheme myself but bought it because of the price. However the color scheme has grown on me though this is my first 1/48 so i may just be in awe of of the 1/48 sculpt itself.

The legs in the battroid mode are of a strike version or were the leg boosters included in the original yamato packaging?

That's the clear fastpack set, doesn't come with the Angelbirds.

As for the Japanese schoolgirl resemblance, I never noticed it until it was pointed out and now that's all I can see. I think they should have packed the Angelbirds with a schoolbag and an extra hand giving the two-fingered 'peace' sign.

That said, I LOVE my angelbirds. Quality-wise it's the most perfect of the 1/48s that I've laid my hands on. Although that damn nose cone still likes to come off too easily.

mate where did u buy the clear fastpack? looks fantastic.

in the scorcHed earth forums i ve seen all other fastpak combos.the red/blue look nice but the clear is the greatest

My first 1/48(though my YF-19 does feel like a 1/48) and I love the Angel Bird edition, I kept mine unarmed and since my Elintseeker still hasn't arrived(its been 16 days!), I had alot of fun with this one!

I just ordered 5 angle birds for displaying and custom purpose. Average price is less than 50USD (actually a little bit hush since if I wait for another several days the average price is even lower). sign~~~
