It's more likely it's only a coincidence. I don't think the show's jumped the shark. If that were so, I would have zero interest in next week's episode. It ain't so! Quote

WHA!!!!" My head is racing trying to process all of this, I have read everything in this thread so far, so I'm not out of the loop, but I just can't speculate, there is way too much to guess. I'm waiting for subs, no guessing for me (at least no posting of guesses from me) until I see subs... Get here faster Subs!!! I got a definate Aliens vibe which made me think that Ranka is part Vajra kinda like Ripley in the last Alien movie. If that is so then it is kinda like she is calling them home sorta. Other then that this was brillent and added some cool new twists to the Macross Universe. Quote

taksraven Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Ok. Things I was right about with this episode. Reveal hidden contents The SDF WAS a Vajra Hive. The thing we saw in the promo WAS a Vajra queen. Blatantly based on the queen from the aliens films but who cares. Things that I have been wrong about in the past. The voice in Brera's head WAS clearly Grace. That was NOT the original Macross. SDF-04???? Glad it wasn't the original, would have been too bad to see it trashed. Wow. What a dark and disturbing episode. The action was great. It was nice to get some Vajra action for once. It was nice to see the full Ex-gear armour again. (Haven't seen it used properly in this way since episode 1). I knew that Grace's holorock was some sort of bomb as soon as I saw it. Talk about violence. Poor Zentradi. What was the big deal with Grace's happy pills. Ranka's protusion has changed colour?? And FINALLY, to keep those complaining happy, did anybody see a certain Battroid appear in the next episode preview that people have been absolutely screaming out for. Next episode looks really cool too. I loved the way that this episode launched straight into the action, barely stopped, and then launched into another BIG cliffhanger at the end. More please.
