Shun Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 a better (and last) look at Yuu-chan before she turned into lunch. BTW, check the deculture ver 1st ep, the tactical screen says that the first capsule on the starboard side is island 2, port side is island 3. but then in ep 5, the Alien Life Form Lab is said to be in island 3, and it sure looks like the first capsule on the starboard side. discrepancy? Brera's vf-27 seems to be launched from the starboard island (same one as the Alien Life Form lab?) Quote

ma2ha3 Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 sheryl lost one of her earing grace want to make one for her, she send a raw one to leon to ask someone to cut it, like jews cutting diamond, an art that computer cannot do. so basically sheryl earing must work as a pair to work. she desperately need to replace the second one, in order to do so, she risk meeting leon to give him secret about VF-27. Zinjo Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Grandios speculation time (no kittens were harmed in the making of this guess): - Sheryl, Ranka and Brera are all siblings from the doomed expeditionary mission. - Ranka is the youngest, while Sheryl is the oldest. Sheryl doesn't remember her mother because the experience of the Vajra attack left her with amnesia. Ranka was sent off in an escape pod by her parents and Sheryl and Brera were next, except Brera was critically injured. Their parents stayed behind and died while Ozuma escorted Ranka's pod to safety and a Galaxy squad picked up Sheryl & Brera's. - Brera was taken to a hospital and never seen by Sheryl again. All were orphans who went different directions. Ranka joined Ozuma's family, Sheryl was an orphan aboard Galaxy and Brera became an "experiment" in cybernetics. - Brera knows more about their history than either Sheryl or Ranka, but he aint talking. - The expeditionary mission was sent to make contact with the Vajra and it all went wrong, however Galaxy (if there is indeed a cold war starting) is trying to gain access to their technology. The idea of siblings intersted in the same love interest is also something new to the Macross universe, so we'll see how things develop. Quote

But sheryl is a blue eye blonde brera is red eye blonde and ranka is red eye green hair so basically three of them cannot be sibling Brera seem to related to Ranka. But Sheryl and ranka have no link. They are love rivals. If Sheryl have a tomtom, she would never have met ranka. Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Actually, in Zero, Mao and Sara were siblings and were both interested in Shin, Sara was just playing hard to get Quote
junior Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 a better (and last) look at Yuu-chan before she turned into lunch. I don't think so. The car still appears to be intact when we see it later on. Most likely the Hydra tossed it around but wasn't actually able to get inside (which would have required ripping the frame apart or tearing off a door). Instead, the occupants were probably all pretty banged up, and there may very well have been broken bones and/or concussions from the incident. The idea of siblings intersted in the same love interest is also something new to the Macross universe, so we'll see how things develop. Not really... Have you seen Macross Zero? While Mao is never really a serious love interest for Shin, she appears to have a crush on him. And Shin and Mao's sister Sara are the major love item in the OVA series. When I saw the dialogue for the scene in which Sheryl kisses Alto, I got a serious 'Minmei kissing Hikaru in DYRL' vibe. Though I don't remember Minmei coloring like that after she kisses Hikaru. But Sheryl and ranka have no link. They are love rivals. If Sheryl have a tomtom, she would never have met ranka. Appearance is superficial evidence of relation. I've met sibliings that looked nothing alike. Then there is the other aspect of step-siblings all of the Nome lineage. Quote

junior Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 That is cause they were caught in the act Nah... In DYRL, Minmei hadn't really developed feelings for Hikaru yet (that came later). She was merely giving him an 'example' of acting. Sheryl, on the other hand, appears to actually have an attraction to Alto although both she and Alto are seemingly doing their best to act as if there's nothing between the two of them. Quote

Duke Togo Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 - Sheryl, Ranka and Brera are all siblings from the doomed expeditionary mission. Nah, that's too "Darth Vader built C3-PO". Interesting line, where the mysterious voice talks to Brera about making up for his past. I didn't take this as meaning literally *his* past, more of a "sins of the father/mother/family/whatever". CF18 Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 (edited) So they can build a perfectly functional UH-60 for the film, but can't build a VF-0 but use the VF-25 to fake it huh? I bet they use VF-25 again to fake SV-51 too. They must be using a VF-25 with 2 seats for some of the scenes, right? The beast was said to be made in Eden according to that man with female voice. Did we see anything like that in Plus? Edited June 6, 2008 by CF18 Quote

The idea of siblings intersted in the same love interest is also something new to the Macross universe, so we'll see how things develop. Actually, the superior (Grace?) of Brera warned him with something like "if u want to get back your past (memory), don't act on your own again!" (something like that). so it means Brera does NOT remember his past too, and probably don't know anything about Ranka except that she knows the Aimo song. And seems like Brera was working under his superior (Grace) because he was blackmailed with his memory. (Zeta Gundam Murasame Four? ) so, yeah Brera's not really the baddie. He can be turned from the dark side. There's still good in him, i can feel it. And also, the reason for the VF-27 to move in and out of Frontier fleets easily could also be due to Grace's hacking. She could've removed its detection entirely or faked it with another ID. Edited June 6, 2008 by Shun Quote
