I'm not ready to write off Leon, but perhaps his involvement is only incidental. Perhaps he's being used by Mr Bilrer. At any rate, it's clear there are plenty of holes in internal NUNS security. There's plenty of unauthorized movement going on and plenty of players are involved. Grace sure seems to be much more than she was before and now the Macross Galaxy connection is starting to make sense. I'm getting the impression either the Vajra are deliberate enemies possibly made by the Macross Galaxy fleet or an experiment gone wrong that the Macross Galaxy fleet is trying desperately to cover up lest their cybernetic experiments be shown as going too far (hence, they risk being deemed illegal and shut down?) Galaxy is known to be a technological haven. Cybernetics may have been only 1 of the many areas they worked in. The whole "Playing God" aspect comes to mind...like a certain "culture"...making a race of soldiers...some with folding capabilities. It is very similar to the VF-25 - the "crotch", the beam guns on the side of the legs, the way those wings fold behind the body. The part with Mikhail in battroid teasing Klan Klan is really amazing. The mess with all those apparent conspiracies going on gives Macross a less linear feel. But maybe falling too much into Hitchcock-isism?? Felt a little awkward by Michel's VF emoting. Actually it was more like Isamu making it look like it was blowing the smoke from the barrel of his gun like the cocky bastard that he is. Now I'm curious: is there a VF26???? I'm still of the opinon that Kawamori is following Mikoyan tradition and has been naming fighters with odd numbers ever since the VF-11 (even the Vf-22 originally came from the YF-21). That or they came from another galaxy FV the symbols on that red vajra suggests protoculture involvement, and the protoculture 'empire' at its peak rules over only this galaxy. so unless those markings are not PC, it is unlikely the vajra are from another galaxy since they are probably products of PC. although it is possible those surviving PC moved to a nearby galaxy and these vajra are their scouts to check out whats happening back here (protodeviln scared e shi+ out of the PCs huh... ). explains the remotely controlled part too. but i think macross is not ready to step out of the galaxy yet, still lots of room for future stories. If he is connected to Grace, then the VF-27 squadron may have arrived with the Galaxy Liner when Sheryl arrived at the Macross Frontier. Maybe they are her escort squadron or used her arrival on the Frontier as cover to gain entry into Island 3?? Perhaps Leon is a Galaxy mole? It's mainly the head bit and that whole "What?" thing he did with it after she slapped the virtual taste out of its mouth... Thanks for those gifs. I really love the shots zooming in on Alto's Valk all the way to the head, and they did it at least twice in the new episode. Mmmmmmm Mecha heaven.......
