505thAirborne Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 (edited) This trailer was just released while watching the Walking Dead....... Lots of CGI. Cool plane scene though. Edited December 5, 2016 by 505thAirborne Quote
electric indigo Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Looks cool, and a different approach from the last Mummy movies. And Sofia Boutella. Quote
TangledThorns Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Looks good. Plus it has Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe so I expect a more serious film than what we're used to. Quote
NZEOD Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 its apparently pretty dark so fingers crossed! And its the first of a series of Monster flicks. Quote
areaseven Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 its apparently pretty dark so fingers crossed! And its the first of a series of Monster flicks. Actually, it's the second. Dracula Untold started the Universal Monsters reboot. Quote
Dynaman Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Actually, it's the second. Dracula Untold started the Universal Monsters reboot. If they are smart they dropped that bit, Dracula Untold should have been left untold. Quote
CoryHolmes Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 ... why did they CGI over Brandan Frasier's face??? Quote
azrael Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 'Only good clown is a dead one. It does look creepier than the Tim Curry-version. Quote
505thAirborne Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 The original "IT" gave me the chills as a kid, this trailer just did the same.... minus the little kid hitting the Public Work sign, I did laugh at that. Quote

I am SOOOO very excited for this. The original TV special was okay, but Curry is literally the only thing that has stood up to time, everything else ranges from bad to laughably terrible, effects, acting, script, all of it was terribad. I can't wait for this, plus the kid that played Jerome/Joker on Gotham is the new Penny-Wise, works for me, that kid put on a pretty decent Joker. Edited March 29, 2017 by Tking22 Quote
big F Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Finally a remake that WILL work  no questions asked . Quote
derex3592 Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 The original IT scared the CRAP out of me back in high school on a little 19" television and I normally just laugh at horror movies. This might be worth a watch! Quote
Kelsain Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Just watched the trailer. Man, fictional kid murder is one of things that changes in life. When you're young, it brings the thrill of being close to you, makes you feel imperiled alongside the characters. When you're older and have your own little kids, OMG makeitstopineedtogohugmylittleboyrightnow!! Interesting in how the trailer seems to be focused on the young portion of the story. I wonder if they'll follow up with the adult portion after a couple years. Quote

One for when they were kids and the 2nd movie for when they're adults coming back to Derry, or same as the TV miniseries. Quote

I recently tried to watch the miniseries and it was very bad and very dated.  Turned it off after just a half hour or so.  Long story short - I wholeheartedly agree. Quote

Same here, it was on IFC about two years ago and I felt it was dated too, told myself it would be nice to see a remake someday.... and here we go! I went to Jr. High with Jonathan Brandis who was in the original series, he was really excited to work on it. So I guess just for that I still enjoy the original series a bit. Quote
Marzan Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Scared the crap out of me back in the day, but agree that it didn't age as well as other classic horror stuff. The trailer for the remake looks good. Quote
TangledThorns Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Interesting that this film doesn't scare me. Probably because I don't have coulrophobia  Quote

electric indigo Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 That actually looks like an interesting take on the source material. Quote
