Warmaker Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Well hey, British Lara Croft possibly being portrayed by a British actress? No way Quote

Kanedas Bike Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 But she's really not a fresh face. Not sure you understand the meaning behind the term "fresh face", or at least how it's being used in this instance. Resemblance, or one's opinion of resemblance to someone else isn't the point. Ridley is new to just about everyone, and certainly to big budget productions or well known characters - hence her 'freshness'. -b. Quote
areaseven Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Death Wish Revamp with Bruce Willis to Be Helmed by Big Bad Wolves Directors Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado Nope. It's not Death Wish without Charles Bronson. Quote
Dynaman Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Death Wish Revamp with Bruce Willis to Be Helmed by Big Bad Wolves Directors Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado Nope. It's not Death Wish without Charles Bronson. It stopped being Death Wish even with him after the first movie. Probably the only movie "series" to go down the drain faster than Highlander. Quote
TangledThorns Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Nope. It's not Death Wish without Charles Bronson. What made Death Wish interesting was it took place in NYC when crime was rampant. Pre-Bernie Goetz, that was the real Death Wish. I'd like to see Hollywood make a film about him instead. Feel the Bern. Goetz 2016. Quote

TangledThorns Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 (edited) Starman remake... Starman is one of my favorite films and John Carpenter's best as its so unlike his other action/violent work. Great soundtrack too. I think a remake could work but I'd do it as a television series instead. There was an actual television series that followed the film and though it was popular with its fans but didn't last long on the air. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/starman-remake-works-director-shawn-879805 Edited April 1, 2016 by TangledThorns Quote
spanner Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Starman, also one of my all time favorite flicks and a young Karen Allen was just stunning! but if this indeed true I can't say I have a great deal of confidence that a re-make will actually be any good.. Quote
electric indigo Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 This won't upset many people, since the original is rather obscure I guess: Jacob's Ladder gets a remake/reboot Quote
big F Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Random choice but so far out of main stream it might just work. Quote

Marzan Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 When did we reach the "limit of ideas" in film production? Everything now is a remake, sequel or has been done before. Quote
Duke Togo Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=outmDIi29Bo I went from having no interest to having interest. The trailer feels right. Quote
big F Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 So the new thing is get a film or film series and turn it into a TV series. How long till we get die hard the tv series or fast and furious the TVs series. Quote
Mog Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 So maybe not exactly a remake, but c'mon, Russian Avengers or Russian X-Men: http://www.theverge.com/2016/4/15/11439314/zaschitniki-guardians-russian-marvel-superhero-movie MACHINE GUN-WIELDING RUSSIAN BEAR!!!1111!!!!!! Quote
big F Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 That looks quite polished, a machine gun toting bear and a speedy guy with over sized scimitars, nice. All we need is a set of subs and we are go. Quote
Graham Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I went from having no interest to having interest. The trailer feels right. Hmmm.........yeah I'm a huge fan of the original and was extremely skeptical when I heard about the remake, but the trailer has me intrigued. What.....the........ I really don't miss American TV. I'm kinda interested in this, as long as the action choreography is good for both the gunfights and hand-to-hand stuff. And by good I mean reasonably realistic and showing a decent level of skill. I hope they put the actor playing Riggs through some proper training. Presumably if it follows the movies, he's supposed to be an ex-Special Forces guy. Quote
anime52k8 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I went from having no interest to having interest. The trailer feels right. I'll watch it. I fully intend to not like it, but I'll watch it. Quote
TangledThorns Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 I went from having no interest to having interest. The trailer feels right. It'll attract the folk that watched Glee. I suspect this and perhaps Lethal Weapon will succeed. Quote

Dynaman Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 It's HBO so expect lots of porn sex. More like expect a little bit but not a lot. They seem to add one scene for a 2 hour movie but the percentage goes way down in a regular series (Rome excepted though I didn't watch much of it so perhaps it did decrease later). Quote
electric indigo Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 They'd have lots of stock for Roman World... Quote

TangledThorns Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Is Westworld a mini-series? Don't know how much they drag out of an amusement park that malfunctions. Quote
