Dynaman Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Is it just me, or is the timespan between original and reboot getting shorter and shorter? I think the one between Spider Man's is the shortest out there. Scary to think I am probably wrong. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) The frakk... Pretty much my initial reaction...and good luck getting someone as hot as Kate B. to look as good in the tight leather outfit. Is it just me, or is the timespan between original and reboot getting shorter and shorter? Nope, not just you. It's craziness. -b. Edited August 30, 2014 by Kanedas Bike Quote
TangledThorns Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 The Greatest American Hero is expected to make a comeback to television. I remember the series was fun, great theme song too. http://deadline.com/2014/08/greatest-american-hero-remake-put-pilot-fox-826823/ Quote

big F Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Next up, Paul Anderson will reboot the god awful Resident Evil movie franchise, and it will be just as terrible as before. After the first one I was just rooting for the zombies, all the way through. Quote

big F Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 WTF, the original was ok, but no parade. Is this gonna be like the Starsky and Hutch or Miami Vice big screen remakes, totally MEH!!! Quote
Greyryder Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I'm just glad to read that they're not making it an outright comedy. That's what keeps killing most of these old TV show adaptations. Quote
Marzan Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 At this rate it's just a matter of time before they remake Cannonball Run Quote
areaseven Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I'd imagine it can't be worse than the 1999 reunion special. Quote

Dynaman Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 The new Inspector Gadget song sucks - pity since I really liked the original. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 The new Inspector Gadget song sucks - pity since I really liked the original. Ugh, I feel like a grouch old dude, but I hated everything that clip showed, including the opening song. That said and incredibly off-topic I'd love a toy of the original Gadget-mobile (or however many needed for the car, truck, etc.). -b. Quote

areaseven Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 (edited) I haven't seen Stuckmann so pissed at a film since last year's Movie 43. Now we just have to wait for Jeremy Jahns to dogshit it. The Scmoes also go postal in it. And here's a review that gets straight to the point. Edited December 22, 2014 by areaseven Quote

Dynaman Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I still don't know who these people are or why I should give a crap what they think about movies. I have not cared what any one person thought about movies since Siskel and Ebert (either of those I care, even when I did not agree with them I liked the reasons they gave for their opinion). This latest group of "edgy" reviews, no thanks. Quote
areaseven Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) This remake has been in planning for the past five years. While having Gennedy Tartakovsky (Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack) as director may give it hope, it's written by two guys who did The Smurfs 1-2. Speaking of The Smurfs, Sony's rebooting the film franchise next year. No surprise there. Edited January 22, 2015 by areaseven Quote

Dynaman Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 It is hard to think of Popeye as a remake and even if it is the last big screen Popeye was so bad a restart (Can't call it a reboot either) would be a good idea. That Popeye movie with Robin Williams was such a let down - he NAILED the role of Popeye and most of the others were spot on as well but that plot just plodded along to nowhere. Quote
TangledThorns Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 WHY??? Even thought the original is still scary the trailer for the new film is decent and I expect the film to make a lot of money. On a side note my parent's were friends of the parents of the actress that played the teen daughter in the film. They were shocked when they heard the news she was murdered. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001161/?ref_=tt_cl_t4 Quote

Knight26 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) WHY??? I'm actually ok with this one, the trailer looks solid and it has been long enough that hte story could use a refresh. for a modern audience that might not be familiar with the story. "Grab your ankles and kiss your ass goodbye, Jafo. We're going down." Wait what? With a drone? I can still see the basic storyline working, but then make it a whole new movie, or a some kind of indirect sequel. Edited March 20, 2015 by Knight26 Quote
big F Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Unless the drone is the size of a helicopter and a man sits inside. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 So when's Airwolf getting a remake? Never. Nobody knows how to play a cello anymore. Quote
areaseven Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 It's a shame that the original Poltergeist was cursed, with many of the cast members no longer with us. This remake is simply an insult to their legacy. Quote
