MisaForever Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Couldn't it have been moved to Anime or Science Fiction? I think the topic had some merit (coming from the guy who helped start it ). I agree but I suppose Az has his reasons. Feel free to start it again there. Quote
Master Dex Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Oh I'm not brave enough to start that kind of discussion. I'm a follower, not a leader . It doesn't bother me either way though. I haven't said much on the VF-27, but after seeing everything from everyone I have to say insignia's don't lie. It is a NUNS plane, and being from Galaxy makes sense... now if we only know what exactly the VF-27 is, lol... as I used to say (not that anyone here would know) "Terribly Mysterious." Quote
Zinjo Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I just had a funny thought. While watching the episode again, it occured to me that perhaps the reason for shooting the Alto's gunpod was that they were located underneath the ships reactor, fold thing whatever. I think the dude in the Vf-27 didn't want the ship to go boom with him on it. Just a thought anyway. A theory based on a subbed version I saw. Reading up on the thread and watching Macross plus again, perhaps its another fighter challenge in which the NUNS fighter is being compared to the SMS private fighter. However if true the 27 beats the 25 hands down. Guaranteed there'll be variable on variable dogfights. Ever since Plus, the fans have seemed to demand it... RIP Regult... Quote
Morpheus Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 So, if the VF-27 is a black ops from Frontier, what is their base then? Is it another carrier ship like an upgraded Quarter? If its true then we will see capital ship brawl later in the series. (Reminds me of GGG final, the duel between Pia Decem Peak and King J Der) Quote
Master Dex Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Except that the VF-27 is from the Galaxy fleet, hence the Galaxy logo on it. Quote
Morpheus Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Except that the VF-27 is from the Galaxy fleet, hence the Galaxy logo on it. Oops, then a Galaxy version of Quarter then AiA subs is out? Where? I didn't saw it on TT. Quote
darkrealmbahamut Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 It has been posted on scarywater but has no seeds yet. Quote
Steve Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Shows 0 seeds but its downloading like a rocket for me. Quote
darkrealmbahamut Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Same here but now there are two seeds. Quote
DestroidDefender Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 All this speculation about the vf-27 and whether it's from galaxy and it's NUNS - Did we or did we not see, at the end of episode 6, a VF-27 fold to Frontier space announce it had just come from Galaxy and Galaxy was under attack by the Vajra? Quote
hal9000 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 (edited) Holy Crap man just started 8min Wow. Edited May 20, 2008 by hal9000 Quote

No, that was a different craft. And it *is* from the Galaxy and it is NUNS. The insignia are clear on it. If there is any question, its about their current motives. Quote
darkrealmbahamut Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I still wonder why Brera took so long to help Alto and the others considering in some ways they are allies. Quote

However if true the 27 beats the 25 hands down. so it goes down to cybernetic enhanced pilots vs all natural sms/frontier pilots plus i think the vf-27 can only be piloted if cybernetically enhanced Quote
darkrealmbahamut Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 so it goes down to cybernetic enhanced pilots vs all natural sms/frontier pilots plus i think the vf-27 can only be piloted if cybernetically enhanced If it is the case then we have seen how the natural pilot tends to win out. Quote
DestroidDefender Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 No, that was a different craft. I don't have the episode on this computer - what type of craft did appeared at the end of #6? Quote
Master Dex Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I don't have the episode on this computer - what type of craft did appeared at the end of #6? It was at the end of the ep.5 actually, and it was not specified what it was, but it appears to be non-variable, just a scout ship I believe. Quote
kamotekid Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 i dunno if anyone noticed that the purple stone in sheryl's earrings looks similar to the stone on mr bilrer's ring? Quote
Heron Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 SMS and NUNS may come to a loggers head in the future. Odd how they pointed out Clause Seven in the SMS contract. Quote
Duke Togo Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 i dunno if anyone noticed that the purple stone in sheryl's earrings looks similar to the stone on mr bilrer's ring? And the stones in the fold relay pods, and the stone in the Vajra ship. Quote
Steve Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Just watched the AiA I-Z sub, Mentions Michel and Klan knowing each other in childhood and that the Macross Quarter is 400m long. Oh and Alto's so very very noob... Quote

I'm still wondering what kind of craft it was. Looks similar to a VF-4, but not really a VF-4 at all. Quote
Vegas Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 And the stones in the fold relay pods, and the stone in the Vajra ship. and from luca's vf too Quote

Shouta Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I find the obsession with Ranka popping out to be rather disturbing. Quote
Master Dex Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 You know, I was wondering this when I first saw ep.7 but nobody brought it up. In episode 1 we see Sheryl using a holo-suit, hence why her clothes seem to always be changing on stage, they are holographic. However in ep.7, when she goes to take a break, you can see her actually taking off the clothes she had on, but earlier they were changing as if she was wearing the holo-suit. Then she physically puts on a dress, which then later changes into something else when she starts Infinity. The holo-suit made that perfectly understandable, but now I can't tell if the holograms are working with her real clothes or if someone made a mistake when they did all that. Quote

Heron Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Lucca seems rather surprised the Vajra have a "Fold Reactor". The last "Fold Reactor" that got that kind of "surprise" was from the doc when the SDF Reactor vanished. Doesn't NUNS have Fold reactors or are they using some other type of fold technology, gleaned from old Zentradei engines? Quote
Steve Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Also it seems Ozma sure is hooked on Fire Bomber enough to quote in combat lol. Quote
darkrealmbahamut Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 In the first episode I believe he was listening to them in his car so it makes sense. Quote
Duke Togo Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Luca's still noobier... Luca is Nene Romanova. Great with computer, bad in combat. Quote
