I noticed that commentary too, interesting as Gattai is usually the one out with it first.

I am more used to Gattai so I would start downloading that.. but it has no seeders because it just posted, and I've been downloading the GG one... however another problem, I don't know if I can play the matroska file... so I might just need to get Gattai.... I'll finish the GG download and then see if it works.. if not then by that time Gattai should have a decent number of seeders.

My download time on the GG sub is better than earlier, but it didn't seem like a huge increase that you apparently had Nexx. Oh well, we shall see soon enough.

Edit: I stand corrected, I just had a massive speed increase on the GG download, so I guess very soon we shall see how good this version is. I am under an hour to go now.

I'm just doing gg for now, I'll get gattai later and keep the better of the two. However as to my earlier statement on the download speed, it seems to be going back and forth, one minute it is going at 30 kb/s or so, then over 100 later, then back down to 30, so who knows when this will be done for me....

I know that, which is why I'm reacting like that. I can watch MKV's fine on my computer but the friend I show the episodes to can't play them for some reason. Oh well, I'll wait.

Have you tried K-light codec pack? That does wonders. Unless your friend has an ante litteram machine. In that case... cheer him up!

In the meantime, Gattai .txt file just finished downloading. Here you are what it says:

" For this ep, songsubs during the main act are limited to where the

song is audible over the dialogue or background noise; while we have a

full translation of Sagittarius☆9PM, the new insert song, Infinity, is

only available in closed-captions. Thus, to maintain consistency, the

limited style is used experimentally.

The names of the ships from Galaxy, Kaitos and Dulfim, are Arabic

for "Whale" and "Dolphin", respectively.

The names of the other ships from Frontier, Hyperion and Crius,

are titans of Greek myth.

To give further detail on the hanamichi: I'd contemplated using

"catwalk" or "runway", but the hanamichi is both kabuki-specific, in a

show where Alto's kabuki background is important, and functionally

different. While a runway or catwalk extends out into to audience from

the stage, and fulfills a similar function of allowing the audience a

closer look at the stars, a hanamichi extends to beyond the seating,

and from there connects to backstage; it's used for entrances and

exits, with a position 3/10 of the way from the stage reserved for

dramatic speeches during these moments.

The Kaitos's sinking is a particular type, "轟沈" (ゴウチン),

defined by the IJN as a sinking within 60 seconds of the fatal blow,

due specifically to bombing, mines, cannon fire, or similar.

"Carrier" and "mothership" share a word, "母艦" (ボカン), in

Japanese; for stylistic reasons, I'm using "carrier" for humans and

allied races, "mothership" for the Vajra, except in cases where the

wording is more specific.

noticed the Quarter's main energy source as either a "Reaction reactor"

or a "Reaction furnace"; these have been standardized between versions

from this week on."

I'm downloading Gattai now too. I'm a bit worried the subbers enthusiasm for Macross Frontier may be waning. I guess we only need one good subber to come through with each episode but having a bunch competing was good insurance.

Nay. The only Macross game I've played what the PS2 one - which was awesome. I think I toyed a bit with VFX1, but it really was crap.

Excellent episode, I sure hope that this connects with the other series in some way. Plus, I'd like to see at least ONE VF-19 around, just one. Come on.

But other than that, I like the new mecha.

Sidenote: For those who watched Speed Grapher, doesn't the... uh, pilot/effeminate afro guy from SMS look (and is even named apparently) like Bob (from Speed Grapher)? I know it's a weird thing to notice, but I figure it's just a certain "stereotype" there that got repeated somewhat. Dunno if this has been mentioned before, but anyhoo.

will an .ass file of the Gattai sub be forthcoming for ep7 here in MWorld? I'd rather just dl that like i have for the previous eps that way I can just integrate it to the current Raw I have now. I don't really want to add yet another version of the episode as I currently have 3 already in my HDD.
