Graham Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Cool! It's nice that we are getting some gashapons, but I just wish they weren't Super Deformed. Graham Quote
crasis Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 DECULTURE!!! Do want! Now how do I go about tracking down these little things? Quote
misterryno Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 They are totally cool....especially since they are SD's. I'm just a freak like that. Quote
VFTF1 Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Ehh??? What is Ranka wearing? I never saw her in that dress before! For that matter - what is that hideous GOWN-THING that Sheryl is wearing in the poster??? I see she is continuing the tradition of "Dresses really good when off work/dresses really bad when singing"... sheesh The only one I think is super cute is...Alto Princess VFTF1 Quote
Aegis! Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 I'm impressed by how well this SD figures capture the spirit of each character, Alto is the best one imo, but the ones I really want are the chibi-valks, the VF-25S looks cute while still remaining menacing. Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 (edited) Cool! i may bite. This is the first bit of Macross Frontier merchandise! Edited May 5, 2008 by ruskiiVFaussie Quote

I think it's hawt. babydoll piece for the win! Quote
VF5SS Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Ranka is wearing the school uniform from Alto's school. Remember, she is going to transfer and will have to wear the same outfit as Nanase. Quote
wraith1701 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 DECULTURE!!! Do want! Now how do I go about tracking down these little things? ToysLogic has them up for pre-order; release date September. I like the fact that products are coming out, but the SD characters aren't my cup of tea. They look well-made, but I'm looking forward to more anime-accurate depictions of the characters and mechs. Quote
crasis Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Does ToysLogic have a good reputation? I've never ordered from them before, and this is very tempting. I just wanted some feedback before I pull the trigger. Thanks! Quote
DrunkenMaster2 Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Very cool looking figures, now are these keychains? HLJ has them down as a "swing" figures. Quote
DrunkenMaster2 Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 i'm gonna get a box. Me too!!! I already have mine on pre-order Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 So what would be the secret chase? pretty lame if there isn't one, especially if you paying for a box of 10, and only 5 figures. Thoughts? Quote
Mellow Yellow Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 (edited) If HLJ is right and these are actually keychains, I don't see why they would have a chase figure. Bandai's other keychain sets such as Bleach and Naruto don't seem to have them (also 2,000 Yen per box of 10). Besides, at this price, who wouldn't want one full set and a few doubles (possibly even a second, full set) of SD Macross F keychain cuteness when Toyslogic is selling them at basically the same price for only one set Edited May 17, 2008 by Mellow Yellow Quote
UN Spacy Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN953252 Does Bandai usually make more than one set? Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 (edited) I got mine from hlj.com, that's too bad there won't be a chase. Keychains? Cool! i'll hang them from the display in spots i have rare room in my cabinet. Edited May 17, 2008 by ruskiiVFaussie Quote
renkenjutsu Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 (edited) OMG! Ranka-chan looks like the only thing that I want to get out of the lot :3 She looks good in chibi. If Alto's VF-25 is in the kabuki victory pose as seen in ep. 4, that'd be great. Alas. *sigh* Edited May 17, 2008 by renkenjutsu Quote
DrunkenMaster2 Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 (edited) HOLPY CRAP!!!! They look awesome!!!! So there's going to be four in this set? Where do I pre-order? Thanks for the Pic CF18 Edited May 27, 2008 by DrunkenMaster2 Quote
miriya Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Which set is this? http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN953252 Quote
CF18 Posted May 27, 2008 Author Posted May 27, 2008 Which set is this? http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN953252 Most likely the first set - 200 yen each from a capsule machine, hence 2000 yen for a box of 10 random pieces. Quote
wraith1701 Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Most likely the first set - 200 yen each from a capsule machine, hence 2000 yen for a box of 10 random pieces. Yep; the Swing 1 box is the set of SD figures. I'm gonna pass on those. The Diorama sets, on the other hand... I'm planning on getting multiple sets! One to display as-is, and at least one extra set to use for a customization scheme I've been cooking up involving Yellow Sub joint-sets. Thanks for the heads-up, CF18! I've been waiting for this news! Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Wow, this is a pleasant suprise! I will deffinently be getting atleast one box. Dragon Ball/Z have been hogging this kind of style gashapon for long enough! (i have quite a few, awesome) Quote
Graham Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Wow, that diorama set looks awesome. Definitely getting them. My only complaint, no Ozma type VF-25S with Armored pack. Graham Quote

Graham Don't worry, these should be half poseable with moving arms and legs. Or atleast easily modifed. Edited May 28, 2008 by ruskiiVFaussie Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Also there is only 4 types. Perhaps more will be revealed or a secret chase. Only 4 is a little lacking. Quote
Guld Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Also there is only 4 types. Perhaps more will be revealed or a secret chase. Only 4 is a little lacking. Are 5 models: SVF-1 Hikaru SVF-1 Focker VF-25F Gerwalk VF-25F Battroid VF-0S Reactive Armored I hope the other one would be a chase Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Nope only 4, it's an optical illusion coz of the angles. Quote
Graham Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I'm really loving the sculpt on the VF-25 battroid and Gerwalk. The VF-25 is fast becoming one of my favorite VF designs. Graham Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I'm lovin the Roy 0s Reactive going off. Quote
