MisaForever Posted September 7, 2008 Author Posted September 7, 2008 Because some fans are real nutters?!? Seriously, as someone who has been on the receiving end of crazy fan action, I can tell you that some people will do really f*cked up things just to show they don't like you. Wow, makes me feel good then that I'm not an avid fan of anything. Quote
Gubaba Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Why, are the fanboys going to come after you? I've never understood why people are so afraid of the fanbase. Maybe their adopted older brother pulled a lot of strings to get them into an elite girl's school, and if the school knew they were dancing on the internet, they'd get expelled. Conversely, maybe they just don't want to end up like the Star Wars Kid...could you imagine showing up to school, and for MONTHS, hearing nothing from your classmates but "Kira!" Brrr.... Quote

sharky Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Had these posted in another thread and thought I would share them here as well. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the Queen of the Macross Quarter!! Don't worry, this one is actually good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGLPqEV4Dz0...feature=related Quote
kensei Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I turned that triangular one off after 4 seconds. I should have turned it off in half that time, but it shocked me so much that i fumbled with my mouse! Quote

If you think about it, the words are still appropriate for Bobby. Think about that being a pet name for um, you know, "it". Edited September 8, 2008 by sharky Quote

Gubaba Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Really? Never heard of it. It was initially going to be a movie (not sure when...maybe around 1997), and then it was going to get retooled into VF-X3 (around 2002...the trailer you linked to is from the 20th Anniversary DVD), but then it never came out. And I doubt it will. Pity, as it looked kind of interesting. Quote

I'm not surprised actually. Participation tend to be encouraged at these events. For instance at the TAF performance of Don't be late, she got the audience to shout "MOTTEKE!" with her during the chorus and seeing the crowd punching the air in unison with her. It's a really fun feeling to feel you're a part of performance rather than just watching it. Quote
kensei Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Wow....May'n is hot. I so want to go to see a performance if I make that Japan trip next year. Quote
Gubaba Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 To be honest, I thought it looked bloody awful, but to each their own I guess. Welll...I didn't think it looked GREAT, but it looked interesting...the CGI people didn't look all that good, but the Valks did, and I was curious as to what the story was. Quote
s-girl Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 The fans are so funny. I love how they inserted whoops and the front row was waving around, synchronized. As far as live performances of this song go, this was better pitch wise. May'n occasionally goes sharp but here I noticed only one place where there was a noteable pitch issue. Quote

weixing Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Hi, She seem very uneasy doing the dance... may be the dance moves was too "cute" for her... Also, she need to do more exercise to improve her stamina as she seem can't catch up her breath at some part of the song. Anyway, I was amaze with May'n live performance... very consistent and as good as the CD. Have a nice day. Quote

Well, she is certainly not lip synching it, so it is more difficult to dance and sing well I think. Who knows what she was doing right before she was singing. Maybe she is simply tired that day. IMO, she is simply concentrating on singing well and less on her dance moves. Quote
