Hasegawa Flexible Stand

Hi guys!

Since there are not Flexidisplays in the market, I been searching the best display possible to use in some of my Macross Aircrafts.

I just saw the Hasegawa Flexible Stands, for Robots and Aircrafts. It seems interesting, but I can't understand how its flat part fits in an aircraft:

Can anybody explain better how this works? If anybody have one of this, can please post some pics?

When I saw these stands I thought the same thing, what do you use dubble sided tape or what? I find these bases great for VF-1 valks the gun pod sits in the top nice and the give a better option for posing your model.

Hasegawa stand 28 uses self adhesive tape.

Hasegawa stand 29 has a u shaped adapter that is perfect for the old Toynami SP's.

These stands are great because they are clear and the ball joints are easy to release so that you can add segments from additional stands to make them longer.

I will keep looking for more pictures.

It has numerous adapters and if one doesn't fit they are easy to modify. Plus it supports a lot of weight and very stable.

There's no way I'd want to use self-adhesive tape to hold a finished model on a display stand...

Yeah...double-sided tape seems a little iffy, but I think they look a hell of a lot better than the "official" Macross stands...

I bought both but did not use the double sided tape part from 28 only the U adapter from 29. I just parted out stand 28.

The double sided tape will take the paint off your model if you what to remove it from the stand.

You could try the double sided tape on the wall and then the U adapter on your model. The stands have the same size ball joints except for the larger one the base that needs to be reduced to fit in the smaller joints.

Sorry that I do not have anymore pictures of them in use but will be ordering more since they are back in stock.

Make your own. get some wood (MDF is best) have it cut and sanded by a wood butchers and buy some acrylic rod and cut a length and use a hair dryer to warm it and bend to the shape you want drill a hole in the stand and an accompanying one in the botom of the plane etc and et voila. I painted the bases with krylon plastikote and the look alright.

I got my acrylic rod on eBay for not alot of cash and the MDF was free off cuts that were going in the bin. the cutting was done as a favour by the Cabinet makers next to where i used to work. so all in all I only paid for time and paint.
