mospeadamacrosstech Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 The second of my Rogue Squadron X-wing custioms: Tycho Celchu is Wedges 2nd in command of the Rogues, and after Wedge gets promoted he takes over as Rogue lead. His X-Wings scheme is based off the Alderaanian Royal Guard's paint scheme. i might try and do the panellining, but the pens take very badly to paint, so it may not work. Man. You need to work for Hasbro. That new Wedge X-Wing was kind of a let down on the detail department. You, sir, have a good eye for bringing some fun into this mold.
Scream Man Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Thank you And rememebr that nothing says appreciation like donating free/cheap X-Wings to the cause!
Totoro242 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Toys R' Us has Republic Gunship's for $49.99 and Turbo Tank's for $79.99.
Scream Man Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 is thatt he gunship with the closed doors?
Totoro242 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 is thatt he gunship with the closed doors? Yes. The one with the closing doors, engine missiles, and the "Crumb Bomber" nose art.
Scream Man Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 if anyone feels the need to pick me one up on special so I dont pay ebay prices Id be mighty obliged!
Scream Man Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Rabid sent me the Naboo starship, which is here and is AWESOME! Cheers bud!
Vepariga Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Fell in love with this so I just Pre-ordered this Darth Talon statue from StarWarsShop...
miriya Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Fell in love with this so I just Pre-ordered this Darth Talon statue from StarWarsShop... Damn that is hot. I so want one.... ... no money though.
Lolicon Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Made good use of some old Episode One figures.
Scream Man Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Is it wrong that I laughed out loud at that?
David Hingtgen Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Darth Talon is so "extreme" I dislike her character. She's every stereotype and fantasy rolled into one package that is flat-out ludicrous. Yuthura Ban is 1000x better and more interesting if you want a twilek sith.
Scream Man Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I didnt mind Darth Talon, but I prefer Nihls in the Legacy books. He's pretty frikken Badass. But then Cade has become one of my favourite Star Wars characters ina very short amount of time, so he still wins
Vepariga Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 (edited) well i like her but im not a huge fan of Darth Talon, theres many more that are awesome, but she has something that clicks with me,the statue looks awesome regardless of character. would be awesome if they made a Darth Revan or Plo Koon epic statue. Edited November 13, 2009 by Vepariga
ruskiiVFaussie Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Is it wrong that I laughed out loud at that? lol no, without Qui-Gon's sloppiness we wouldn't see a young Obi-Wan get pissed off!
Vermillion One Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Slightly off topic, but can anyone recommend a particular version of the AT-AT toy? I dont mind the vintage, but would like gather opinions on the POTF or other versions as well.
eriku Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I'm not particularly fond of Talon as she seems a bit of a lazy design to me. Like the creator said, "What if took Darth Maul and Aayla Secura and combined them?" I can see why she's popular, but she's not very interesting to me.
emajnthis Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Did anyone else pick up the AT-TE for $50 last week at TRU? I got one for my son for Christmas, never felt it was worth the $100 price tag, but at $50 i couldn't refuse.
Scream Man Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Hold off on the ATAT, its been heavily rumoured to be the next upsized release by Hasbro.
Vermillion One Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Hold off on the ATAT, its been heavily rumoured to be the next upsized release by Hasbro. Thanks, I will definitely do that. There is no rush when my only current source is ebay.
one_klump Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Did anyone else pick up the AT-TE for $50 last week at TRU? I got one for my son for Christmas, never felt it was worth the $100 price tag, but at $50 i couldn't refuse. I got mine for $30 from Hudsons (salvage store). Also picked up the Force Unleashed spaceship and the Assault Shuttle lego sets for $10 each. Just have to keep an eye out, the stock is different every week.
Scream Man Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I had a HEAP of stuff arrive today: Joker Squad - AQll awesome, with Darth Maleval being one of the best Sith figures Ive seen. Just an AWESOME looking toy! Ithorian Jedi - Name eludes me this second, but a cool looking toy. Cad Bane: If he had swivewl wrists and knees then he would be awesome. As is, he's still pretty good. Gen Grevious: The one discussed a couple of pages back, this is an AMAZING toy. The arms dont attach together well, but I guess thats ok since Ill display them seperate Zev Zuke...something - The Rogue pilot from the snowspeeder. Lack of elbow and should ball joints suck, but othewrwise cool. Hawkbat trooper: Not bad, nothing special Plo Koon - The new one with removable mask. VERY cool toy, and I wont be needing a Plo Koon toy ever again. I dont like the saber gauntlet, but thats OK. Also another John Branon pilot to customise, a couple of droids and Bob Foruna, who I also got just to customise not a bad day!
Uxi Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Yeah, Talon is pretty... cliche, but I've felt that about most Twi'leks since Aayla Secura.
David Hingtgen Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Yuthura Ban is the most-interesting and most-clothed of them all. Coincidence?
Scream Man Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Perhaps. Aayla needs a redo SO bad. Shes one of the weakest Jedi in the line now, especially of the more active Knights.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 saw something really really cool today, the Endor battle scenario LEGO set.
David Hingtgen Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Horribly over-priced (even by SW Lego standards) but I'll probably buy it anyways:
Scream Man Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Thats so awesome Hasbro has said no more comic packs to come out, and we dont get the KOTOR and LEGACY ones we saw at SDCC. :(
Mog Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Hasbro has said no more comic packs to come out, and we dont get the KOTOR and LEGACY ones we saw at SDCC. :( That's just downright frustrating. They didn't exactly help their cause by re-packing those crappy Darth Vader/Rebel Trooper and comic-colored Han and Chewie packs either. Honestly, the majority of my SW purchases the past two years have been comic packs. Other than the Legacy General Grievous, there hasn't been much that has truly caught my fancy in the main single-pack lines. I mean a man can only purchase so many variations of the main characters. I just hope that when The Old Republic video game gets released that Hasbro does the right thing. The KOTOR period really deserve an honest-to-goodness wave of its own. Shoot, if Force Unleashed can get its own wave of figures, then certainly KOTOR (with three video games and a comic series to draw from) merits having its own release/wave of figures.
Graham Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Did Hasbro fix the legs on the current release of the AT-TE? Thinking of getting one for my son for Christmas, as he really likes "the walking tank" as he calls it. But don't want to buy it if the legs still fall off all the time. Graham
BoBe-Patt Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Horribly over-priced (even by SW Lego standards) but I'll probably buy it anyways: ooooo, nice. I want it! You got any more info on that and any other new SW lego info?
David Hingtgen Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Well there's more pics here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...&start=1665
Scream Man Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Man I hope Hasbro do a Defender. That would be so awesome. Heck theres a bunch of vehicles I want Hasbro to do, but doubt we'll see. E-Wings look awesome for example. New Cloudcar (They've said no to that). a Tantive IV playset. Theres so many things that would look awesome.
Fatalist Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 A TIE Defender would be awesome. But as far as the designs go for the TIE games, I really dug the TIE Advanced (not the Vader version) and the Assault Gunboat. Those would make some great additions to the toy fleet.
Uxi Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I want to see a new TIE Defender and a new TIE Avenger/Advanced. Both Action Fleet and 3 3/4
