B-52 GUNNER Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 I found this mecha on Robotbits.com Anyone know what show it's from? Scot Quote
Akilae Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 well, definately Masamune Shirow.... some of the anime gurus will be able to tell you which show... but I'm guessing Appleseed or Dominion Tank Police? Can't be GiTS, unless Shirow did away with the original powered armor... Quote
the white drew carey Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 It's one of the Guges models from Appleseed. The pilot is the main character of Appleseed, Deunan Knute. If you haven't read Appleseed, you're missing out. I highly recoommend it. I just wish Masamune Shirow would start it up again... Quote
UN Spacy Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 Hmmmmmmmmm.....it definitely has the look of Masamune Shirow (of Ghost In The Shell, Appleseed, etc.). Quote
Zentrandude Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 heh power suits always get the babes. Quote
Lynx7725 Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 It's a Guges from Appleseed, likely a D-model (reserved for ESWAT use). I think I even have this illo in one of the Intron Depot books. Quote
estacado06479 Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 the wedgie keeps her alert when she's fighting the bad guys, if she had on comfortable undergarments, i think it would take away her "edge" Quote

Definitely the Guges D. It's a little different from configuration you see in Appleseed book 4 in that it's lacking the large blade-looking thingie on it's back. I think it was supposed to house the contraption the "hermes" anti-gravity material was supposed to be contained in ... I'll pull out my old books and find out if anyone's really interested. Quote
Mislovrit Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 It's a Guges from Appleseed, likely a D-model (reserved for ESWAT use). I think I even have this illo in one of the Intron Depot books. This illo is in the first Intron Depot book along with a lot of other AppleSeed and Guges-ish suits illos. Quote
Syngyne Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 Yep. Definitely the Guges D. It's a little different from configuration you see in Appleseed book 4 in that it's lacking the large blade-looking thingie on it's back. It's also got toes instead of the regular Guges-D feet. Quote
